Would you like unlocks in the Singleplayer mode?

The question is simple and I'm asking it to prove to EA how silly it was to not include the unlocks in the Single Player mode(which you also can't play all the maps in and you can only play the 16 player mode maps....it sucks).

So would you like to be able to play with the weapons you have unlocked in Multiplayer,in the Singe player maps?

yeah, i mean it wouldnt hurt, especially to try them aswell. like, isnt that what singleplayer is for? to try the game? well you should be able to try your unlocks aswell

You could use unlocks in 2142s SP, and I seriously see no reason for why you shouldn't in BF2.

I'm all for it to be implemented in 1.5, unless it's very hard to fix. Then they'd be better off fixing actual problems

not needed if you have 2 pcs at home, set one of them up to run dedicated server and in the options allow global unlocks. That way you get the unlocks youve earnt and 32player bot coop. Simple really.

I don't know about you, but I don't have two PC's laying around which can play BF2, nor the two serials required for such a thing. Though on the point of the original post, it would have been nice to be able to test out unlocks in SP before choosing them, but I don't ever see it being implemented. Just cross your fingers and hope BF3 implements it.

Revert to 1.0 and change the config files to unlock all the standard unlocks. Even works in the demo.

You can do it in 1.41.


I have done it lots of times but you end up getting kicked from servers for modified content all the time, but it is good to use the L85A1 and the M95 in single player.

You can use the dedicated server launcher, which is free from EA... And you don't need an uber PC to do it since it just runs from a command line.

Because that's the point...to be able to play with bots and use the unlocks.

I never play single player, It's for chumps.. However I see no reason why you can't use unlocks in single player..

I thought there would be some mod or program that would allow me to play with bots.But the thing is who the heck thought it was cool to NOT include all maps in Singleplayer mode,not let the players decide which size of the map they want to play by allowing them to only play the 16 player versions of them and not include the unlocked weapons in singleplayer.Well done EA.Well done.Some people in the designing team are really smart.I personally hope the idiots who thought of that read this and realize how stupid they are :nod:

BF2 is intended for online play only ( Hence no story to single player), So If people buy it knowing they have an inadequate internet service then it's their own stupidity.. But yes they should have made the single player a little more expansive at least to practice on...

Anyway the Sandbox mod is good for flying practice.. It also allows you to play on the full size maps in single player.. No bots though =\

Dude I know it's supposed to be for multiplayer mainly but there are some times that you really wanna play singleplayer and not just for practice but for fun as well.Maybe you don't wanna encounter humans and get angry :P

Or for many other reasons.I think DICE and EA really screwed it up here.As well with the technical stuff which usually make an EA game an Odyssea to get it registered on the net,installed properly and played without any problems!:P
