I use to love this game when it first came out and played from about 2005 till mid 2006. Came back to it after a 2 year break and now i see cheating more rampant than a VD rash and EA/DICE whoever dont give a flying f*ck about the mockery this game has become. What am i ranting on about ? well i just happened to be looking at info for ranks and came across this

and youtube is full of videos of bf2 hacks. Punkbuster is now a mockery and can be used by hackers to ban genuine players. Its not just bf2 though this is becoming more of an issue in every single pc game. Its frustrating when your on a server playing bf2 and you look atv the scroes and its obvious whos cheating, yeah the guy with 80 odd kills and 5 deaths and you initiate a kick vote and everyone else sits by and twiddles their thumbs or presses no for kick vote. Dont just sit there in game and ignore the cheating. Well ive had it with pc games f*ck the cheating im getting a 360 and bad company. Have fun getting screwed over by the cheaters ! :thumbsup::yay:

Strange as I hardly ever see hackers, stat padders I couldn't care about, I'm never going to be in the top 10, I have a life.
I prefer 2142 these days anyway, none of that drop, roll, headshot nonsense.

Stats padding doesn't affect you, so don't even think about it. The cheating is unfortunate, but it's not prominent enough to be of real concern.

Maybe you just assume everybody who consistently beats you is cheating? I'd like to take a look at your stats to see where you're coming from.

What's wrong with getting a 80-5 K/D? It's not that hard if you've played the game for 3 years and get a good squad.

Have fun on BF:BC with crappy console aim, teamkillers and if possible even dumber players than on PC...

If I keep getting owned by someone then I rationalize that they are hacking, I don't actively accuse them because I know that in reality the chances are they are just better than me. It helps to make the fact that I suck less annoying.

You assume that everyone who doesn't vote to kick a 'hacker' is a lemming who doesn't have a clue what they are doing, perhaps they just aren't bothered by said 'hacker' as much as you are?

I dunno simply saying you're quitting because of more and more hackers and less support by EA and Dice when everyone else says there's less hackers and EA and Dice are working on the next patch does kinda sound a lot like someone getting annoyed because all the noobs he was owning when he started 2 years ago have gotten a lot better and are now owning ***.

I hardly ever see hackers, people blow the problem out of proportion. Probably something to do with the hate bandwagon.

Anyway, patch 1.5 is meant to target hacks by securing up the code, so you should wait for that. Otherwise play on a good clan server and hackers will be gone quicker than you can say "genital warts".

If you're one of those people who accuses everyone every time they have a remotely good shot or round then there is no hope left, leave please.

Sloi and alex are right. Stat padders don't affect you, so why do you care? I've been playing this game for over 2 years now and ive probably looked at the leaderboards maybe twice. Who cares whose in first? Who cares what numbers hackers can come up with? And I would assume you are new to online gaming, because your so quick to call sniper a hacker.

You have to remember that with medics around every corner, or ideally, with one following you around at all times, your KD will appear much higher than it really is.

I swear, people post in here without thinking about these things. It's annoying.

A few days ago I searched for a populated EF server to play on.
It was impossible, all of the servers I found were either empty or populated with stat padders or exclusive "time servers" were you can just sit in a vehicle to get the hours.

Most of the people on these time servers were 3 stars.
WTF?
