Omfg. It looks like a mod/expansion pack for Cod4. And if they are planning on having a UAV in a WW2 game i feel sorry for them.

Your statement is false, although if it is your opinion, then you may have it. However, my opinion would be that your name fits you.

If you read up on the game, you would realize that there is a lot more to this game than it just being a mod/expansion. And also, UAVs, well...a little research might unveil to you that they did not exactly exist back in WWII.

Oooo, these screenies look nice. I've been trying the new games as they come out and after CoD4, all the other games are mostly lacking. My clan jumped ship on CoD4 before I was done playing...

I'm resolved to load up CoD4 which I haven't played since the Spring and get back into some real pwnage. When does CoD5 release again? This Winter?

Nov 11. Less than 2 months. And a MP demo/beta is coming for PC and 360 in Oct.

Okay, I've got to get back into fighting shape then.

I've been playing slower-paced games and now I'm ready for some fast and furious CoD4 action. I thought I'd get that in Crysis Wars but it just isn't as "smooth" an experience I was hoping it would be (my computer needs some upgrading).

Thanks for the info, Whiskey.

Well its a put off for me having a German gun used by Americans in the pacific...but i agree you should be able to pick up all the weapons i just think you should start with the correct ones.

Perhaps the coop mode will retain the correct weapons per faction and the multiplayer is more like arena combat. I like to customize loadouts and take what I want to take, but I also understand the point about being disconcerted by the out-of-place weapons.

                            Re: New Screenshots

The problem with only certain weapons on each side is that you have to make a choice between authenticity and balance...if everyone can pick any weapon, then you have a "fair" balanced MP mode...but if you restrict them, and the weapon stats are accurate, you will have people complaining that one side is overpowered. I know this happened a lot back in MOHAA/SH, where more people usually flocked to the Axis side because of the weapons. I'm not an expert, but from what I understand, the Japanese in particular did not have very good weapons in WWII, so their side in MP could be at a big disadvantage if the weapons were made to accurate stats.

The only other option is to restrict the weapons, but forget about authenticity and make every Axis/Allied weapon class (ie. rifle, smg, mg, sniper, etc) the equal of the other, but I have a feeling that would probably draw a lot of outrage from players too.

I'm torn on this like a lot of others are...I like the idea of only having a smaller subset of weapons to choose from, but I think a fairer MP mode is probably more important to me.

Side specific weapons is a good idea. Of course, if it's in the game, people would pick the 1337 semi automatic Garand over the bolt action Type 99 any day. Hell, they wouldn't even pick the Type 99, they'd just go straight to the automatic weapons.

In CoD1, I saw more people using automatics than semi automatic rifles or bolt action rifles.

In every game people use automatics more than the rest.
