Re: Helicopter attack pattern.
I let out a huge moan when I hear the chopper coming for the other team. In pub games I'm almost always way ahead as being the top on my team and I usually die 3-4 times when a chopper comes out...I'm not exaggerating. I've even been killed when in a building, LOL! Oh look at that, the chopper way up in the sky can perfectly shoot through the window to the middle of the room or oh, thin roof, let's just shoot him through the building. So it is not just on what it can see, there is obviously coding to kill the big cheese from the other team. I sometimes spawn after being killed by it and die right away from it again lol.
I used to get uber frustrated, but I usually take my deaths now, then go back to my destruction. :)
One thing though, if you're team actually shoots at the chopper, it doesn't last long in the sky. But since a lot of the team isn't getting killed by it, they could care less about the chopper.Comment

Re: Helicopter attack pattern.
Choppers are a neverending circle of evil in S&D, since the player that got it in the first place usually get another airstrike or chopper when the rounds ends, in which our team is doomed until the map changes :/
Thank god there's PAM4 thoughComment

Re: Helicopter attack pattern.
Choppers promote camping if you think about it.. IMO i just think choppers are way too powerful- and it sucks that you cant turn off helicopters without it becoming unranked. Airstrikes have some sort of skill involved, as you actually have to place the airstrike out. Helicopters are just, again, stat padding your score if you get it.Comment

Re: Helicopter attack pattern.
Best way to avoid the chopper and still shoot it is to break line of sight with its swivel machine gun turret. Most of the time if you crouch and lean around a corner but still keep the turret out of your line of sight it will not shoot you and you can shoot at its tail.
All you have to do for the chopper not to pick you as a target is break line of sight of JUST THE TURRET.Comment

Re: Helicopter attack pattern.
The chopper doesn't see out of its tail. So you can shoot without it chaingunning you.Comment
