If you don't have air support (nubs in your attack heli and jets) then you are f88cked as others said :)

If you do have some air support and you are not the only tank driver then your chances increase But then again there are AT guys around etc.

If you see attack heli and he is going to fire TV at you your best chance is to quickly pop some smoke, get out of tank and hide behind building or tree or just run away from tank. Although good TV guy will see that and aim at infantry. The sooner you see the heli going to attack you the higher the chance of survival :)

Your best bet is to pop smoke and move the tank about a tank's length in either direction. Make sure your tank is still in the smoke cloud after the move though, or any good TVer will see you and you're done.

avoid chopper with armor?

as soon as you see it, start going towards it, kinda hide below it, most soloers wont take a chance and do the 90 degree shot(see pic below) and most pilots wont line up their gunner right for that kinda shot, especially when not high enough


not saying that its possible to avoid a chopper with armor but you can at least make it harder for him to kill you and who knows, while hes trying to kill you, he might get killed by other chopper coz if hes putting to much time into killing a tank, he forgets that theres a chopper respawning somewhere

as soon as you see it, start going towards it, kinda hide below it, most soloers wont take a chance and do the 90 degree shot(see pic below) and most pilots wont line up their gunner right for that kinda shot, especially when not high enough

Yeah, I was kinda expecting that.

Now where are all the maps with no attack choppers/jets but with tanks? I miss Karkand w/vehicles, I only got to play it once. And I heard Songhua Stalemate is dead

Get Special Forces, that's what got me back into BF2. Lots of big maps with vehicles but no air assets. (Not all of them of course.) Of course, Iron Gator is the epitome of getting heli raped. :p
But I do think BF2 needs its own version of the SAAW.
