ya i'm a little surprised that you actually deleted your soldier when you say that you still like the game. actually, i'm more confused on your decision. if you still like the game, you will still play. as far as the ranks, it doesn't matter where you currently reside if you're not to try to compete w/ others for stats. just because you're ranked high, doesn't mean that you have to compete w/ others. if you start over, you just put yourself at a slight disadvantage as far as unlocks, etc. they will come quickly for you & mainly playing assault will allow you to concentrate on unlocking the entire kit, but it just leaves me baffled. if you have other aspirations, follow them. have you created a new character? if so, what's the name?
