I think this is the best suggestion, would make you a hell of a lot more tactical with them but will BF3 ever come out, I was talking to someone from EA who has helped Dice in the past but even he told me that Dice are keeping that one close to there chest, so no-one knows what, when or if ever it will be releaseed, there are some empty folder on certain computers with BF3 on them but this is going back to Christmas.

Hopefully after this post Dice will prove me wrong and release a statement on the release date, but 3 nades per life is a good one.

I think resupplies should have a limit for everything. Each support soldier should have only 1 and it should hold 8 of each item max. But that would require actual programming, which they're not likely to do. They seem to be more concerned with fragaliciousness than realism. You guys seen Bad Company? The destructible terrain and healing systems are ridiculous. Probably we'll see EA take the franchise down the Unreal Tournament Path.

So in other words, they could care less about pissing you off, cause for every whiner, theres 5 RDX whores and 5 nade spammers who'd cry if you snatched their lolipop.

If you want realism BF is not for you. BF has since 1942 been about arcady fun with vehicles on large maps, and that's the way it should stay. If the next BF turns into a new ArmA or OF a lot of people would stop playing the franchise.

Bad Company rocks my socks, if BF3 is anything like it I'll buy it for sure.

Have a longer anim/pull time on the nade so it takes a while (longer than vbf2/2142) to throw would slightly help,i think 1-2 nades is fine really as people (if they have a brain) wont just throw them right at the start of the round but will keep them for when they need them.
I think having them as an unlock helps quite a bit also. Take away jumping help 'propel' the grenade, this will stop people getting a extra bit of distance on the nade by just jumping.

Sprint + jump is the real killer, it gets nades very close to the fog on camp G.

Yeah sorry bout that, didn't mean to knock that style of game. I love BF, but bad company was to Qauke for me I personally like realism in games, though the US army games pretty crumy. BF2142 has a lot of realism in the war sense, the respawn system and control points makes it feel like an actual battle to me. But the little things, like the crosshairs and full health revives, and the fact it takes a dozen bullets to drop somebody takes away from it to me. I guess I wouldn't care except for the fact theres no more realistic games out anymore. The standards dropped cause most people like frag games more so people like me get screwed. I thought when MGS3 came out the FP combat system woul stick and things like no crosshairs, leaning around corners, and actual recoil would stick, but I guess its no beans. What was that OF game you were talking about?

On another note, maybe they should leave the nades the way they are. I mean in real wars, there's constant motar and artillery barrages, if not exactly on the front lines. I imagine trench warfare was something like Gibraltar, with constant explosions and cover fire makiing you keep your head down.

right now you can either drop a box or hold it to resupply. make it so that grenades can only be resupplied by holding the ammo box. this way there will be no more self-sufficient nade-lobbing machines, yet they can still drop a box for all other non-abusive ammo.

realistic? no. do i care? no
do i care about the *current situation*? no, but if it helps you fine people stop bitching then i hope its the pinnacle of gaming-grenade-problem-solving

ps, why would someone who wants peace prepare for war? if i wanted peace id prepare for the opposite?

Operation Flashpoint - there a OF2 coming out soon, it's a "realistic" game in a sense.

No worries, but I'm a big fan of quake games :)

either limit the frags to 3 per life, only resupply from big stacks or like the MOHAA game just pick up a box of nades and thats it.

Or made it so you get exhausted from throwing and your throwing power decreases untill you throw like a little girl :O

                        They shouldn't.

I've never found much of an issue with nade spamming. Yes, it can be a bit of a pain in Titan corridors, but that's a Titan flaw, not a nade flaw, imo. Other than the occasional Titan round where you get completely stuck, nades never bother me at all.

qft, nades are mostly fine now. They should just increase the resupply time slightly. Or heck, give us all 4 nades and a even slower resupply time.

And no more unlocks that give you an advantage without having to give up something, like sprint and 3x nades, BF2 unlocks were pretty fair because it wasn't an extra gun or anything, it replaced them.

like i said they only mostly bother me on two occasions. inside titans and certain spots of camp-G. but still i'd like for the BF series to move past the unending resupply of nades. i think less nading will make the game better. too many of us prefer to throw than to shoot.

Cool, lets nerf support cuz you know how freaking overwhelmingly deadly they/we are.

I think 2142 did a great job. If you want to go into a FF=off server on a 64 player Camp G, then you best expect some nade action on the pinch points. I've gotten plenty of frag kills that way. Or you can stay FF=On and not be able to nade fest as easy cuz those -3 pts can really add up. But the reality is that support doesn't need to be nerfed cuz it works just fine. If anyone needs a nerf, its assault and maybe dumb down the pk rockets just a tad bit.

But otherwise folks, why fix it if its not broken.
