You know what really did me in was switching back and forth between BF2 and TF2.......


Things like selecting your next class, and pressing enter selects your next class for you when you die in Bf2. In TF2 - it suicides you immediately and respawns you in that class.

If you want to change class in TF2 you just stand in the home base and select a different class.. It doesn't count as a suicide..

It's a setting in the options window. Look through the game options and there will be a tick box saying something like "do not suicide on choose player class"

yep - I figured that out. I always forget when I reformat.

Still - same kind of comparison....


Like using input keys for BF2 thinking its TF2 or vice versa.

Ive been playing the BF series so long that every new game I get I switch the keybinds to match the ones from BF. COD4,TF2,Crysis, hell all of them...

Every time I go back to vanilla after playing SF, I find myself hitting 8 at spawn in an attempt to equip my gas mask.

I had so much to relearn after coming back from months of 2142, I felt like a noob all over again, even though the game play is extremely similar.
Like.....
Pressing X while driving a tank does NOT protect you from incoming missiles. It sends up more of a 'here I am' sign.
Space is NOT the default for opening chutes. This after three times in one round, with some teammate asking, "Why do you keep jumping off buildings to die?"
The maps in BF2 are wayyyy better and so huge. So big, my first game back I jumped in an APC to go help my team with a struggle at a CP. (Don't remember which map, but it was definitely one of the larger maps.) While trying to take a "shortcut", I somehow ended up in some way off corner from where I wanted to be thinking, "How the hell did I get all the way out here?"
