Agreed. People on console esp. xbox have this incredible need to say useless things, that don't contribute to the game in anyway, besides most of are little 12 year olds that belong in CS.

I have not played the consoles, but to see all the stuff they are just now looking into putting into them (read the news columns on the front page), its obvious the consoles seem to be lacking quite a bit.

Thats all I know for sure.

There is a hack out so you can use a KBm for free. I know there is something you can buy for 90 bucks, but I am cheap. I plan on showing these little kids a little something. I saw a cod 4 tourney on 360 last weekend. They sucked really bad. I don't even think I saw anyone check any of the normal SD spots in most stages. I did not even see any early nades or pre-fire. The worst thing of console is it seems slower, and auto aim ftl.

I noticed that heaps when I came from the XBOX version to PC (VERY glad i did).. The aiming with console is hard but you get used to it over a period of time though you never get used to the constant flow of bullsh*t coming from peoples illiterate mouths. The online community is soo much better and more mature on pc than it is on console.. But when a gaming pc fetches around $1000 and up you're not going to get alot of little loud mouth kid's playing.

Lawlers just came to think of the massive amount of CoD4 console frag videos on youtube... You see this guy do like 3 headshots in a row on stationary targets in a TDM and at least on of the video comments says "OMG dude you pwn add my gamertag"

And there was this video of some ace a guy did in CAL I think and another one of the comments said "Is this X360 or PS3?"

Console gaming was not all that different from Personal Computer gaming in regards to Call of Duty 4. The game-play was essentially the same, which made the transition easy. Grenade spam, Martyrdom, P90 run'n'guns are just as common on the PC as the PS3 version... I state the transition because I originally owned the PS3 version before getting the PC version after-all.

However, there were three integral things that pissed me off to no extent on my PS3 version of Call of Duty 4 that has caused me to swear it off for life.

Everybody uses Voice Chat. EVERYBODY, from the 13 year old boys, to the 28 year old dead-beat dads who have babies crying in the background. All of which are assailing my ears with inane banter in high pitched voices, or are simply screaming at the top of their lungs while daddy dearest screams at a team-mate.
Team-killing is prevalent. There isn't anyway around it. You're going to be team-killed eventually. At least the PC versions give us the option to avoid servers with Team-killing on.
The lack of dedicated servers aggravates me to no end. While smaller games are a nice thing - I despise the complete lack of the other option to have large games for aimless fun. Did I mention that it can be dreadfully slow? Did I mention the skipping? Geeze... It only serves to show us the limitations of console gaming...

Ive played call of duty 4 on playstation 3 and i can say i will never buy a shooter for my ps3. Its ridiculous how the crappy aiming of the controllers allows players to run laps around eachother without getting killed. The PC community is definetly better than any console community. I dont need to hear your heavy breathing, your chewing of nachos, dog barking, high-pitch voice telling everybody what to do...

I own a ps3, but shooters will remain on the pc...

Note that if you try using a keyboard and mouse for the console, its still not going to be the same. The mouse is mapped on a grid, so there are dead zones just like on a joystick

...and with a keyboard you can't just press a key slighty to move slowly in one direction... you just go in that direction at full speed - no touch sensitive buttons

I used a Keyboard and mouse on my cousin's PS3 and did fairly well. I'll never play CoD4 on console again though.

Now I'm glad I paid $2200 for my PC

If it's an fps, and you actually want to play it, you play it on a pc.
