I just bought the orange box. Downloaded tf2. I need to know how to start it. Whenever i hit the team fortress 2 icon, I get taken to steam. Any help? :shakehead:

You have to be logged into Steam to play. So, if you aren't in Steam already, clicking on the TF2 icon (if it's on your desktop) should start Steam and then start the game.

Nope. I just get brought to steam and can't play the game.

Maybe obvious but, you tried the shortcut that's already in Steam > Games?

Yah, it says pre-load complete or something. I clicked it a couple times and nothing happened.

I had a similar problem one time. Let me ask you this, does the game seem to open up and in less than a second it closes to your desktop not even allowing you enough time to see the in-game menu? Basically it would turn the screen black and couple of times as if it were loading.
