Yes you do.

Put your chopper into motion forwards before going into the gunnerview, it wont turn as much if you do.

The trick is to hit Alt-F4 just before you want to switch to the gunner seat and that will keep your chopper straight.

Just point the nose toward the ground a little bit while strafing/circling toward your left. When you switch to the gunner seat, your chopper will continue to spin in that direction. If you do it to the right you will still begin to rotate left when you switch to the gunner seat, it's just what happens when you switch.

It takes some time to get used to.

lol I barely read anything in this thread but no one really gave an easy explanation..


All you need to know... is do a circle of death as we call it, clockwise.. it will only work clockwise because that is the way the chopper rotates.. You will have ~4-5 seconds to gun before you have to go back into the pilot seat for ~1-2 seconds to keep the circle going where you want it, and then you can switch back to cannon.. rinse/repeat.


Now when you guys (cynic sloi etc..) learn to do this with JOYSTICK, MOUSE, AND KEYBOARD (throttle) like me, then I will have r-e-s-t-e-c-p.

Using a mouse and keyboard, this should be insanely easy.. but I wouldn't know.. because I can't fly anything with the mouse

I really did spend a whole round flying a BH with my left hand and gunning with my right. And yes, I did use a KVM. I've also tried it with a jeep but it's hard to drive through so much lag. I don't think I made a single kill with the BH, but I came close to killing an APC.

Haha restecp? Any I don't think it's necessarily that important to be able to fly using many different controls. As long as you can perform the four major skills needed to solo well (flying, pilot's missiles, TV missiles, chain gun), I don't see what difference it makes.

Haha never heard of that two computer thing done before.

And Sloi I was just wondering if you've ever experienced the weird thing where as soon as you seat switch the chopper goes into a crazy roll? It's as if you've suddenly got a maniac for a pilot. It only happens to me occasionally and I can't figure out a way to recreate it.

But that's why I want to figure out if it's a move that can be done on command. It makes for such a sick dodge when you aren't even in the pilot's seat.
