meh its just tooo friggen slow. It looked like it was gonna be the coolest thing since sliced bread but when it came out i was highly disappointed. Spawn and run 2 miles to find anyone, get shot once and die, repeat. It looks great but theres just hardly any fun to be had.

Your obviously not talking about bf2 then. Nearlly all maps have a constant battle going on, and this is bf2...takes a good 3~ shots to kill someone with most guns. It is very fun.

Wonder why they announced the patch, if they weren't quite done with it? Nobody knew about it, so they could have kept quiet til it was nearly done.

BF3 isn't announced. That way people don't make threads like this bitching about how BF isn't out.

It's people like you who ruined the game with your incessant complaining. For once, just appreciate what you're getting for your £30.

FFS be happy that DICE actually makes a patch at all.

I'm sure that pretty much everyone that nags about how the patch isn't out yet probably would have played the game for a really long time more even without the patch announcement.

I'm fairly certain BF2 still has a very healthy community, I don't see why they'd feel so inclined to stop players leaving the game. Leaving for what? There still isn't any game released since BF2 that compares favourably.

I would hazard a guess that Digital Illusions have been working on prototypes for BF3 on the BF2 engine, and something is clearly good enough to implement into BF2 as a side-effect. Hopefully it's something cool :salute:
