They announced they are working on one, not they had one ready for release.

There probably ain't any news on it since it's still being constructed. If they announced it, it will come.

Even if it will be good, won`t be getting BF3 (the only reason they`re releasing the patch)

Even if it actually turns out to be good, they'll just ruin it with patches like they ruined BF2.

designers don't ruin games, gamers ruin games, a game relies on the community that play it to create fun scenarios rather than use *** tactics and exploits ... besides patches are based on community feedback so it's our own damn fault lol

you should be glad they even release patches once released they are not obliged to patch it atall
they get no money from the patches so think about it and be a bit grateful yeh ?

Most of the changes in patches are just plain stupid and make no sense. There's a small minority of lamers requesting changes at the forums which they listen, and then they forget the majority who wouldn't want such dumb changes to the game. They won't go to posting to the forums because they are already pleased with the current status, only the whiners go and then they listen to them, resulting in a worse game for most of the people.

Why couldn't they just concentrate on the bugs.

While I agree with everything else you've said on the thread this isn't strictly true.

The game is billed by EA themselves as "relaxed reality", not arcade shooter, and one of their main selling points was the sense of "realism" the game promtes. That said I think it gets a good balance between gameplay and realism anyway and I don't find it unplayably unrealistic.

As already said on this thread, it's the gamers that ruin the game and they are responsible for some fo the worst "unrealistic" aspects of the game.

Don't forget how everyone viewed 1.41 as the last patch for BF2. Be grateful that something is coming.
