Are you overclocking any of the components in your system?
What sort of power supply do you have and how long have you had it?
Have you tried setting the affinty for your BF2142.exe process to run on one of your cores?
Have you updated all of your drivers. Re-installed the latest DX9. Re-installed BF2142
When was the last time you did a complete system re-install?Comment

Well, I updated my drivers yesterday, and 1 month ago I re-installed it but thats not the problem.
I had my PC since June 6,14/08 its just brand new!Comment

Do you have SP1 for Vista? I was having the same prob. An update encluded with sp1 fixed it for me.Comment
