Are you on the xbox version? I'm having the same problem. I read somewhere that there is an issue with the update on the 360. Apparently (I haven't tested this yet) you go into network settings and test your connection. Then start up BFBC and the update will download properly. It updated for me too yesterday, but it was very quick, 20-30secs, considering the update was near 100mb I don't think it could have worked properly.

Conquest is pretty good, much more BF than Gold rush, not that i have anything against trying new gamemodes.

I hated Gold rush Ascension but the conquest version is pretty nice, none of that bloody fog lol. Plus on maps like Harvest Day there is alot more room to move around, perfect for snipers and spec ops.

Only let down is the lack of Transport helos, that would have been amazing.

P.S - Do any PS3 owners know if they have tweaked the mic system? They seem to be working alot more reliably now. I know it wasn't announced in the patch but it just seems to be working better, or it might be luck.

It feels that something is changed, since i hear 12 year old kids crying more often now... But i have read that people still have had the "mic drop" issues..

I have had massive lag problem ever since the conquest came out, and i ain't the only one saying this...

Hopefully they get it fixed soon...

This happened in Acsension, at the US Base. I was just walking around, and all of sudden my hands and rifle disappeared. I turned around, and there they were, just floating in mid air. And they "joined" me again when i kept walking foward.

In the same server after this happened, i tried to zoom in with my .50 cal. Moved the scope, and the crosshair only moved, and not the scope.

It did this few times then i quit the game and haven't played much ever since...

It's gotten so bad I bought PixelJunk Eden so I had something to play!

This is just like the good ol' times...

Patch comes out to fix something(this isn't exactly a patch but still). It ends up breaking something, and then we need a patch to fix the patch..

But seriously speaking... Im gonna stop playing this game until the lag smooths out.

I guess it's time to start GTA4 and MGS4 again... :salute:

I haven't completed either! I know it's almost a sin not too, I've been trying to get some missions done on GTA, but I really should go back to MGS4 as kinda left it at a difficult point, being lazy.

Anyway, on topic, I have faith DICE will fix all the problems, and give us a free map pack
