Looks like we only have 4 maps for conquest which is a bit of a bummer. Lets hope they're good ones.

Hopefully we'll see some patches now that conquest is nearly finished as well.

Im just bit worried how fast those 4 maps is gonna get boring...

I wish that DICE will give us a new map pack. A night map would be awesome... :salute:

Well it depends, if they are as addictive as Karkand or Gibralter, we may not need many maps.

But still i'd like to see some new maps. Not any re-makes, but new ones...

I too hope they're four good maps, like are good to play on, then it won't matter that it's only four and no more.

I hope they're large enough to flank the enemy and hopefully have transport helo's? That would be ace. Oh, and prone put back in as a secret fix

I don't think this game is gonna have the longevity of the other battlefields to be honest. Were all nearly/already at the top rank so we haven't got unlocks to play for. We only have 4 maps for conquest which isn't that great even if we have a gem like Camp G or karkland you can only play the same map so many times before you start to go crazy.

I realise conquest was never meant to be the main multiplayer game but given the response they had about conquest in bc and the fact that they added it in for free shows that they must have been worried about sales otherwise they probably would have charged for it knowing EA.

With no news at E3 this year on any of the "upcoming" other 3 Battlefield projects and BF2142 (The "main" current battlefield) is nearly 2 years old. Will this game last long enough before the new games come out or will this game start to decline within the next 6 months?

I was really impressed with some of the features of this game and the map design is good but it still feels like a cut down version of Battlefield, eapecially with the squad, communication and dog tag problems. By adding conquest Dice have only given themselves more work which means any bug fixing will most likely get put back till after conquest is finished, then after that they'll have to fix any bugs in conquest, and then after that they might sort out the squad and communication problems. But how long will people keep playing before they give up waiting for stuff to be fixed.

While I'm very grateful to Dice for adding the conquest mode to BC it seems like if they had added it in the first place with maybe more maps we wouldn't have to wait as long for fixes in the game and we'd have a better game all round.

Sorry for the lecture I guess I'm just feeling a bit negative today :p

I hesitated buying Bad Company, but a friend on Live kept telling me it was really good, single-player anyway. I must admit, I've enjoyed the SP campaign, despite it being nothing amazing in particular, it was very fun. I never intended to buy the game after playing the multiplayer beta, it didn't feel much like BF to me, with no prone, no seperate medic and support class, no shock paddles *continues to list missing features from BF2*.... etc. The only thing that actually made me give the benefit of the doubt to DICE, was when they announced they were adding conquest in after launch. So it is true, that announced gained them at least one more sale, and I would like to think many BF fans felt similar to me, so possibly many many more that wouldn't have bought the game due to the mixed response to the beta.

I agree with BrokenMachine, I don't think the longevity of this game is going to be anywhere near that of BF2/2142 and even 1942. Although, I find that the case in particular with console games, PC games can gather a hardcore group of fans that will play on for years, on consoles, a lot of players migrate from one game to another. For example one FPS to another FPS, like Rainbow Six Vegas 2, to BF Bad Company. I am not sure what the next big console FPS is (multiplatform anyway), that will take the player base from BFBC, but I'm sure it won't be long before we all swap camp again. Only Halo3 is seeming to keep it's player base, and that is a game with a very hardcore following, which will deffinitely still be played next year by many. I can't see BF Heroes building a hardcore fan following, due to the casual nature of the game, it will have millions of players, but how many will stay playing it for years to come?

I still play when i can, but what the PS3's Mic issues and that freaking lag problem constantly pushing you around all over the place, im finding it hard to pick up the controller.

I don't play for unlocks, sure their nice but their not the whole game for me, i just enjoy a firefight and pushing towards an objective, not for stats. However there's just so many little adjustments that could really make this game incredible, its a bit sad.

I was all set to name this multiplayer game of the year, but i guess my standards are just too high after so many years gaming on PC.

I stopped playing BFBC I didn't want to burn myself out on the game i decided to wait till the conquest pack was released and my custom PS3 shooter mouse came ( www.splifish.com ) so after both are here I will get back into the game.

Not a bad idea, that way your more "fresh" for when conquest (proper battlefield imo) comes out, i might join you.

Hopefully conquest will see greater usage of the other kits, so your not on a team full of Support troops. i swear im the only Specialist on the server sometimes.

I play as Specialist a lot... Because of the C4, dart gun and silenced rifle, it's the perfect sabotage kit...

It's a blast when you sneak to enemy base, plant C4 to the tanks/APC's, wait until they disappear from the minimap then just click the button..

I ain't gonna stop playing, im just gonna practise my pilot skills(although i say this myself, but im pretty good already). And then bring the ownage to the conquest..

Lol, i actually don't have the C4 yet, i just love the S-Uzi, its the best of the Find-all-fives as far as im concerned. And the dart gun is an under appreciated gem. It just seems every gun i die to is the friggin MG36.

I'm glad to hear that someone else plays it, could probably cause some havoc as a tag team :salute:

Like i said i really hope conquest opens up the usage of the other kits, and i hope arty isn't going to be too much of a problem
