This morning i was banned from the suez canal server and the mixed titan server within 2 minutes of logging in. No explanation did nothing but banned from both any explanations?

The server that banned you should have some kinda website for their clan or their community. Try reporting your problem at their forum. They should reply you soon.

i got banned this week because my name is "advertising" even though i've never mentioned it to anyone. i asked for an unban and they were insulting and rude.

why do people pay money to rent a public server and then ban people for stupid reasons?

and why do so many admins feel the need to be rude and abusive to everyone they talk to? is there any harm in being nice?

Most people geeky enough to aquire admin rights wether on a forum or server usually can't handle the faint sense of power it accords them.

In there own lives they probably would never try and assert themselves but online it's game on :laugh:

That, and on many servers (especially Team Fortress 2), admin rights are bought and not earned - which mean any bloke who has money can fork some over and then serve his own brand of justice for a month or more. Hell, because the majority of BF2142 servers belong to a clan, it means most clan leaders have access to the admin panel, whether they are fit for the job or not.

It doesn't help that Battlefield is so competitive that most players have no qualms about doing absolutely anything they can to up their score and keep others around them from scoring.

Indeed. It is unfortunate, and the community has tried to develop a solution for a good while now, but no one has discovered a good one other than, "Quit and find another server."

usually not much of a prob. you can always find a server where the admins are fair & the gaming is good. unless the game comes to a point where it is hosted only by ea, w/ a specific set of rules (which it never will), you have to go to your bread and butter. for this reason, i primarily play on just a handful of servers. i occasionally venture out & play all around the world. sometimes this results in moronic kicks/bans. some admins just don't like being knifed:p

one of the biggest problems in battlefield is that people get servers because they want to have power over other people, sometimes there isnt even a reason for banning or kicking, the simple fact that you kill them is enough reason.

in the future, the ingame server browser should get a "report" button with options like:

Stat padding server
Abusive Admin

wich could lead to a rating that could appear next to the ping on the server list, warning people if the server is good or bad, a server with good rating would have a green thumbs up, and a bad server would get a red thumbs down.

i cant explain this very well but i hope you understand what i mean. hehe

Yes, go figure...

I guess when you talked a bunch of smack here on these forums, after being banned from our server for breaking the rules we never should have let you back on. But we did. Some people like a high maintenance person in their life, gives them something to do. We don't.
