It's almost like calling someone a name because you managed to sneak up on them and instead of sitting back and letting you shoot them they've decided to shoot back.

Its almost like that.... Wait, wait... nope, its not really like that at all. That is a terrible analogy. Perhaps, if you had said that they sneak up on you, and then you bunnyhopped away would be a better description...

Anyways, I digress...

Bailing doesn't bother me that much; because as Tomeis previously stated, it gets the foe out of the air momentarily. I do hate when they bail at the uncap, and the server gives them refugee protection status. I must say I approve of the rule some servers have that always the hunting down and the killing of bailers in the uncap.

I've been on one or two servers where they'll kick you if you bail during dog fight. Useually the admin in the jet is high ranked and a good pilot who doesn't like missing a kill.

A little like the servers where jets can't attack chopper so that the chopper whore hasn't really got much to shoot him down and him and his gunner can just fly around getting easy kills.

Huh, that has to be the most retarded reason for calling someone a name I have ever heard in my life. The eject button is there for a reason, using it to escape a potential death is a valid tactic. It's almost like calling someone a name because you managed to sneak up on them and instead of sitting back and letting you shoot them they've decided to shoot back.

So does anyone else use this daft term and if so WHY?

Before you ask, yes I have been called a bailer and all I could say was 'deal with it'.

Not as annoying as admins who fly to their base when you're on their J10's ***, so they can kick you for redlining. :laugh:

i bail any time i can. i dont do this all the time but the day before yesterday i was just about to shoot down this jet and he bailed. when i saw his parachute i also jumped out.(this was somewhere in the middle of nowhere on gulf of oman) he was support and i was a sniper so i chased his *** down for like 5 minutes and when i caught up i knifed him in the back:salute:

oh ive seen worse such as no sprinting or even funnier no using the machine gun on a car unless someone is in the drivers seat:laugh:

Also you have the servers where you can't take out a jet when it's flying through their uncap. Again you get on the admins A*** and they head straight to their uncap. You shoot them down and get kicked for your troubles.

Reason for kick? BASERAPE!. As I've stated before I'm a pretty naff pilot, try doing counter manouvers and you'll probably servive.

I dont really bail all that much simply because i cant be bothered to trek all the way back from the middle of no where.

yes they are slightly annoying im not going to lie but what ever its part of the game.

the thing that pisses me off though is when players will call someone a bailer then when you have them in your lock-on they jump. hypocrites.

LOL that is true but anyway i dont care if i get called a "Bailer" because i want to die less in a round but my team is like your a bailer why did you bail and i just say well if i didnt bail we could have lost a ticket...... and then they just Shut up :p

Classic! I've already stated my views on this, however.....

I was playing Highway Tampa yesterday and managed to get in the F-16. After a couple of minutes I got behind the MEC jet and shot him down over his uncap.

A while later he locked on me while I had some damage. As I was over my uncap at the time I bailed and thought I would wait for the F-16 to respawn and start again.

Next thing this guy called me a "F**ing bailing noob". I therefore asked him if he expected me to just die. His reply was to comeback and and spend the next 5 minutes raping the uncap (against the rules on the server). I therefore told admin who ignored my complaints.

This guy then states that I started it by baseraping their uncap when I shot him down :shock: WTF. The next few minutes was spent trying to get admins to take notice too which he said he was on TS with admin.

After taking much personel abuse from this player (*GR*birdman, rank: ** or *** general) and realising admin couldn't give a damn as they were winning I left the server.
