ok this is my last vid for a bit

i just had a video itch to scratch i made this one tried to have more variety but not too long i hardly like to take more than a day to make them because it interferes with actual game-time a bit. but ill probly have a new good computer in a few months maybe ill make one then

A good ol' fun video, lots of weapons, stabbing and everyone's favourite rocket launchers

It's not an "outstanding" video but it's fun and diverse enough to watch a few times without getting bored. The only real drawback is the "sped up" feeling I'm getting from it. Now whether there's any speed increase done via editing or if it's just a result of your computer being upset at fraps running I don't know - but if it's the latter then when you upgrade you should be pulling off some real nice videos man :)

I think it's unfortunate that the long range revive on the goliath didn't make it explode though That and your name is apparently sam swanson, which leads me to DEMAND that you scream "LET'S GET IT OOOOOOON" joe-swanson-from-family-guy-style in the next vid

using the scar and clark on NFB i had 50
umm the one NS map i had 80ish
alot of the baur stuff was on SOC i had 70 ping

yeah my original video files were smoother. for some reason saving it to the computer gave it a somewhat glitchy look to it. it does look a bit glitchy in some parts

eh i just know i want somethin nice and powerful. ill be living by myself and stuff so ill have plently of time to look at stuff and see what im going to get. i would like to build my own computer if possible but it all depends. ill probably ask you guys about that stuff a little later when i have some money to burn i have pretty much nothing right now

jesus 70-80 ping...... but ur hit detection is so solid and ur game seems so smooth

have you tweaked your usercon cos if you have you have nailed it dead on lol

i usually get that kinda smoothness when my ping is like 10-15 and playing only like 6 vs 6...

your ping really doesnt effect your framerate, its your cpu, video card and ram that effect your framerate, on shingle i was getting really good framerate i was having fraps record at 60fps so i was getting about 60fps and then there were i think 7-8 people on each side.

On SOC with 80 ping there were more like 28-30 people and honestly i only put in the 'good' kills like ones that i thought were skillful i mean duh lol

i have messed with the usercon files i changed the ping compensation from default of 100 to 70 because the servers i play on range from 100 ping to about 45 ping. 70 is a good average i havent really measured the difference though i just assume it helps

i also changed the interpolation time from 100 all the way down to 35. its hard to tell any difference but if its not doing anything bad i might as well lower it more. you will see people hover around sometimes but thats good because your seeing where theyre actual hitbox is

when i say it's like single player i mean; if your crosshair is on them when you shoot , you will hit them :P

i think playing in native resolution helps alot aswell

if you say you do this on ping of arround 70 im realy confused it thros out alot of my beliefs lol oh well ... btw having low interpolation is not neccisarily good you should be careful when blindly changing your configs , you should find out what each value does before changing it instead of thinking "if lowering it a bit makes it good ergo putting it lower again makes it even better" :thumbsup:

well actually the shooting system for this game IS designed so that you dont have to lead your shots. you WILL hit a target if you have your red dot on them unless its that totally annoying thing where they are sprinting sideways to you im not sure what the problem is there.

the only time i've ever seen any kind of bullet drop or shot leading is in this one zeller vid where this guy was taking out enemies from 250+ meters away.

but like with me i was playing at suez canal with the krylov and was killing people that were moving around from distances of 150M or more and that was with 60 ping. when you look at ping the only time your going to really get screwed by it is when you are in annoying strafe@spray shootouts because the average human will take around 200ms to react to a visual stimulus assuming that they didnt see you on the UAV but its generally going to be a little more simply because of how things are laid out.

have you ever CLEARLY shot a player first while in a shootout but still lost to your utter amazement?? and then you will look and they have 100 ping and you have 40. its really not the ping, it is something else i dont know what. Jake might know.



also has anyone commented on how good of hit detection ImoMol has in HIS vids? i mean yes it IS a frag vid and you are showing your good stuff but still no one reallly made light of it. The annoying thing about computer games is part of being a 'good' player is having 'good' hardware. if you have good hardware you can more consistently do skillful things. when you dont, you try to do skillful things and it comes back and slaps you in the face.


as far as i know interpolation time just makes player movement look more fluid and lowering the setting will more directly show where to shoot but if its too low people will warp around and it will not look good. but i guess 35 is an ok setting because that is what i had when recording
