Dude, I was on the #1 TWL 2v2 teams TWICE, and for several weeks on both occasions: in fact, our second team only lost its standing due to an administrative f*ck-up by way of an unscheduled match.

If anyone was left behind, it's all the poor suckers who felt the need to use macros in order to be competitive.

I hope you arent talking about TWL chopper ladder, I know a guy here who used to be cool, made decent chopper videos of him and his friend pubbin but now, hes in CMC using a macro, being able to fly in 3rd person view and using a macro is all it takes to join one of the top teams?

its like having a range game in a pub, and that's one of the things I hate the most, range whores

there a re a few servers out there where you can find decent chopper competition

Throughout my BF2 "career" I rarely heard people even conversing about leagues, and probably for the reasons mentioned. Pubbing was fun enough, especially because the popular servers attracted a lot of skill (at times) so it could be a challenge - for me at least

To be honest with you, even at the time I didn't really see the attraction with TWL gameplay, but I participated because my friends wanted to show people who was boss.

Lol, ive played w/ andre, spec and mafia back in the [CMx] days (You may not know it was a packed 64 slot kubra server)

and i was never in [cMc] i always flew jets, and yes even 2 years ago andre would shoot planes down and shoot behind himself soloing.

Andre was macking like crazy whenever I played with him...

It was always either that or ranging which takes no skill really. Mostly luck and knowing where everyone is at by spamming enemy spotted across the horizon.

Edit: I'm not saying I'm real good, but I am a decent soloer, I started a while back on my POS comp and gave up because my GPU and CPU could never sync correctly in high motion so it kept locking up for a few seconds and never really returned with this new good computer...

Ranging is staying back and taking people out from range no?

I am not taking any sides here, but without these "macros" what exactly is wrong with ranging? Any tactic, not including exterior programs, that gives a pilot/gunner an advantage is great in my opinion? Can´t take that guy out miles away who keeps killing you? Then you are not as good. True, he may not be good close up, but he is ending up winning....

Ranging is when you stay out of the other chopters TV range, then move a little forward, fire the missile and pull back. And since both chopters are doing this its boring as ****

Sometimes, you're ranging because the alternative is fighting other douchecanoes for the heli at the pad. As fun as sliding, rolling and dropping can be, having to deal with the people waiting for the chopper to respawn is out of the question, hence ranging when you simply don't want to deal with bs.
