Re CoH, what's it like? Compared to BF2142?

Well it's a RTS, so it's a completely different game And WWII...

And daymm, Ultima Online is old... I play Quake III sometimes but that's the oldest game I play.

BF2142 is my first and only multiplayer game I've played extensively. Some years ago I tried CCS and Quake multiplay and was instantly totally and utterly raped, pwngarized, whored, whatever you call it, so I call it a day, not funny. After playing BF2142, CoD4 was relatively easy and boring after I got the 5 stars after 35 hrs. TF2, I can't take that serious.

With BF2142 I could gradually get familiar with the game, join squads and learn from them. I still enjoy it a lot and many awards still to get (not now though )

been playing since duke nukem 3d / command and conquer (1) Does that make me old enough?

Newer games have been taking my time lately ever since i got my new computer, but still do 2142 when the mates get together. The new computer made playing 2142 such a pleasure like it was the first time. Lag free titan combat ftw.

I may not have been around in this community for very long, but I've been playing 2142 since day one. Heck, I even played the final build of the beta test. Sure, a lot of people have played a lot more than I have, but what can I say... Family man I still enjoy this game a lot though!

I have been playing 2142 since beta had a break of about a year came back for some weeks got the punk buster bug and could not play anymore. Now its working again yay!

Agreed it is, though after Bridger stopped doing ToH i stopped playing it.

Anyway, on-topic: define oldie? as in bf2142 oldie or just in general PC gaming? I started playing games when C&C (the first one) and Total Annihilation (that robot rts) were new and cool games, played CS in beta 3-5's (back when you had dual mac40's and colt had zoom instead of silencer).

2 of my 2142 soldiers are created back at 2006 (nearly after release if i don't remember wrong), but after few months my activity with the game decreased alot, as MMO's took all my time and only recently i've had more time for bf2142 and ended up buying bf2 too.

C&C / Total Annihilation -> Red Alert 1 -> Red Alert 2 -> Empire Earth -> Battle for middle-earth -> cs 1.6 -> cs:s -> alot of hl 1 & 2 mods -> C&C Generals -> CoH -> WoW -> bf2142 -> Tabula Rasa

That's my gaming history in small list, leaving out all the small games that i only tryed but didn't end up really playing. And there might be few games i forgot :) Empire Earth being the first one that i played online.

Don't know does that make me "oldie" in anything... but RTS games have been always "near my hearth" :P
