Unmoddified content error.....

When ever i play NS i always get that error. Happens on every server i play on, i've uninstalled the game, repatched, re installed NS, repatched. NOTHING IS WORKING :cry:

I'm on Vista64 but running as an admin...

Try this, it's what worked for me :

Uninstall, then Reinstall and patch with 1.20 Patch, Then install NS, THEN install patch 1.50, DO NOT DO THE INCREMENTAL (Incrimental?) UPDATE

You could try going into the registry and changing the version to 1.10 and then patch up to 1.5 again.
Start>Run>Type Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2142
On the right, right click on version, select modify and change to 1.10
Close registry and patch up to 1.5

Worked for me, and I used 1.4 and 1.5 incremental.

yup i had the same issue, bought bf2142 at game and got home patched up to 1.5, then decided i wanted to try northern strike so did the ea download, installed NS then repatched with 1.5. Kept giving me the content error so used the registry trick and repatched with 1.5 and now running fine. Strange that a simple booster should give such a problem though.

It's the 1.5 full patch which causes the problem, I'm surprised they haven't fixed it.
You will probably still get the crash in BFHQ when looking at medals/ribbons/badges.

I had this problem...tried the registry fix to no avail. The only way I could get NS to work was by installing in the following order :-

BF2142
1.4 Patch
Northern Strike
1.4 Patch again
1.5 Incremental

It now works fine, with no crashes in BFHQ

Yeah that should work. The incremental is fine if you install 1.40 before it.

Here's a guaranteed fix for happy gaming.

1. Uninstall BF2142 http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...?p_faqid=14051
2. Install BF2142
Skit to step 6 if you have the deluxe edition
3. Patch with 1.40 http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/BF2142/1.40/
Skip to step 6 if you don't have the Northern Strike booster pack.
4. Install the Northern Strike Booster (C:ProgramDATA\Electronic Arts\EADM\cache\{blurb}\bf2142_bp1)
5. Patch with 1.40 again
6. Patch with 1.50 (NOT the incremental): http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/BF2142/1.50/
7. Install Punkbuster services: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsvcfaq.php

I used incremental today and it refused to start until I then ran the full patch over it.
