It would be a nice touch, thanks for agreeing. I think this next game should be played in all perspectives, it is after all called "World at War" so yea.

The main problem with fighting as the Germans in major games is selling the game in Germany. Any Nazi or 3rd Reich items or insignia will get the game banned as it is illegal in Germany. This is why you don't see swastikas in CoD or MoH, It is always Iron Crosses, because those are not Nazi by origin.

Japan however honors and is proud of their fight in WW2, even if the Americans did decide to end the war most dishonorably.

Fighting from the side of the Japanese would be most interesting.

I had them in one of the MoH addons, I'm pretty sure.

Swastikas and certain other Nazi symbolism get removed specifically for game versions sold in Germany.

Yepp, that's the reason why I mostly buy imports. I just see no use in putting there the iron cross instead of the swastika.

you cant exactly reskin, rewrite, and reimagine a German WW2 campaign to remove all nazi aspects however. thus why the German perspective is hard for a company to really take to as German is a LARGE player base.

It would be nice to see something along those lines. I don't really see the point of veterans getting upset, the same could be said of German and Japanese Veterans, albeit the ideas behind their war were completely wrong, they still lost lives.

Valuing former allied vet's feelings over former axis vet's feelings just strikes me as being wrong. If you don't want to have a Axis campaign by the same measure we shouldn't have WWII games at all.

There are tons of swastikas in both Call of Duty and Medal of Honor.

Im sorry what ? The americans ended the war dishonorably ?

Im sorry what was that ? Did I hear right ?

Yah because of all the honor the japanese showed by capturing prisoners and torturing them for years even after the war was over. Giving no mercy to wounded allied soldiers and gutting them, and watching them bleed to death.

The allies won the war. They dropped the bomb. And I am glad for it, it saved thousands upon thousands of allied lives. Japan decided to bomb the states, they brought it on them damn selves.

And wolfenstein had swastikas all over the place.

I think this thread is not the place for ethical discussions regarding the war, so please get back to topic.
