I just received this in my email:

Security Notice:

QA Boss has been made aware of a security breach which exposes QA Boss
forum user names, email addresses and encrypted passwords. While passwords
are encrypted, it must be assumed that the encryption can be broken.

As a safety precaution, it is advisable that anyone who uses passwords on
other accounts, particularly email, which may be similar to the one used on
the QA Boss system, should consider changing their non QA Boss passwords.

We also feel that it may be prudent for users to change their QA Boss
passwords. Instructions can be found in the News & Announcement section of
the forums at http://qaboss.com

Happened a while back. They simply used SQL injection which makes me doubt QABOSS's safety concerns.

That'll be the last time. Betas are only worth it when you're just dying to see the new content. In hindsight, they are always disappointing, though... :salute:

Yeah, I hope so too. That would sad if I signed up, didn't even get a chance to get a beta key and had a password exposed.

I'm pretty sure if you got the email that you have been exposed. I think it was their database for the forums that got exposed, not some secondary list of beta tester accounts. You have to sign up to the forums to apply to be a tester, so....
