Hehe, well that's usually the kind of thing that will get a hackusation. I've hip-shotted people with the sniper rifles before, but not out of vehicles or anything, and I never get accused of hax. The only one that accuses me of cheating is one of my BF:V buddies and he only says it to be a wiseacre. I feel so scorned. :cry:

The vehicles in BF2, the boats especially, were weird when it came to sniping. I've shot out so many people from the boats using the Type-88 just taking a random, 'Oh, what the hell...why not!' shot only to get a kill confirmation. And these are just wild guess shots on moving crafts. Yet half the time I can't hit a soldier that's standing perfectly still behind a waist-high wall. Go figure. :shakehead:

lol the hit detection on these games seems awful sometimes, doesn't it? Shoot at a person standing still and you miss, but shoot behind him while he's running and you get the kill. Another thing that was fun on bf2 was shooting chopper pilots out of the cockpit. I guess all my cool sniper stories are from bf2.

The only time I ever M95'd a guy out of a heli was when I was camping the enemy helipad, but then again I never was much for sniping in BF2. I did get sniped out of the gunner seat in a heli one time on Clean Sweep just as my pilot was lining me up for a shot on the sniper. All of a sudden I just died and didn't know why. 'Twas quite amusing once I learned what happened.

And yes, the hit detection in this and in BF2 is notoriously dodgy. In addition to that I've been getting some ugly lag and higher latency in servers than I normally got. Some servers that were green before the patch are now showing yellow. Maybe it's just a patch 1.5 thing. *shrugs*

My best snipe was with a Nekomata, a gunship passed over me at full speed, I zoomed, and waited that the gunship got around two buildings in a distance by that time it had already vanished in the fow, I tried to guess it´s general direction and fired...after 3 or 4 seconds bang...pitty I wasn´t using the fraps at that time .
Best kill in my 3 or 4 years o bf experience.

One time I ran up on this guy and he was like two meters away! So I sniped him in the face with like 30 rounds from my voss. It was the best snipe I ever had!!!

Onec ive landed on the middle of the road @Tunis and i saw FAV speedin at me clearly tryin to roadkill me. Ive zoomed, headshoted the driver and panicly press "use" "use" "use" "use" "use" to get in the car. Jeep didnt even slow when changin the driver so I could go to the next snipin position with my brand new EU FAV not wastin much time

I totally forgot about BF2. I loved using the M95 to take out chopper pilots. I remember I took a shot just on a whim at the chopper in the area of the pilot. Got him but unfortunately the chopper wasn't full. Oh well.

Also remembered I was on Suez just recently, I was in a tank taking a flag when I panned over to the bridge that leads into the EU base. Saw an enemy gunship hovering out aways from the bridge so I zoomed in took the shot... waited what seemed like forever but was only like 3-4 seconds and watched the bird explode and got two kills for that one. I then proceeded to laugh.

Dtneter tried to get that in Extreme Realism, it SORTA works... You have to hit the cockpit twice in the exact same area for some reason :|: Silly 2142 Engine...

Sniping pilots out of helicopters is a nice gimmick, but I feel it encourages stupid sniper play. But to snipe the pilot out of the grounded air transports is semi useful if they are keeping it crewed to prevent the spawn from being stolen.

This wasn't MY snipe, but my kid's. He, myself, and a bunch of my buddies were playing together on Remagen, but he couldn't get on our side. He went sniper and at one point I'm moving my squad in on the flag and got taken out by a rocket or frag. The rest of my squad kept moving and while I'm waiting to respawn I look over at my kid's monitor, he's got my squad in his Zeller's sights.

Boom. Boom. Boom. Reload. Boom. Boom.

My squad is wiped out, he's got an infiltrator pin, and I haven't even spawned back in yet. Jaws were hitting the floor all 'round. LOL

That kid is something else with the sniper rifles. He amazes me.
