COD4 Multiplayer Problem

I just beat the game and now I am trying to play online. When I double click the multiplayer icon or try and go threw the single player mode into the multiplayer I get this error

iw3mp.exe has stopped working...


I am on Vista HP and I have tryed to reinstall the game but no luck..


Anyone have an idea??

Hmm, I would recommend making sure you don't have a Firewall up with Vista and try that. I cannot remember what else you can try, sorry

In most cases, this appears to be a sound-related problem. Most fixes involve disabling some sound device options or simply just plugging anything into the microphone jack.

Put this into Google: iw3mp.exe stopped working
and read up on some of the threads and you'll see several suggested solutions.
