If it really did happen that way then he should be slapped for allowing someone to use hacks on his PC.

I have heard that excuse sooooooooooo many times it's really hard to believe. It's in the same category as "Thats not my crack officer, it's my friends"

Only losers cheat - cheating is losing...they are used to losing, but have a need to see what its like to win. Thing is, every time they they think they win, they are still losing. Whats worse, most of the time, they are the only ones that know they lose. It's like wallowing in their own shyt, and without the sense to move out of the hole. Stupid is, as stupid does. sad really...

i found that really amusing. i was gonna reply with as if anyone would do that, but it seems someone here would...
what do hacks cost these days anyway? cause if pb is supposedly finding more ways to crack down on them, they're gonna get more pricey no?
don't cry guys i'm not gonna turn to hacking.....yet
i wouldn't mind trying it out just to see if it really can make a game any better than it is because if i didn't find a game enjoyable i wouldn't continue to play it in the first place. but i have to admit when there is an aimbotter, or more in some cases it can sometimes get annoying. i like to watch the chat though cause the things people say are so over the top and exaggerated it's untrue

            Very well said indeed.

For those who do it to feel emotionally charged and better than the rest.

For others it's probably like a drug addiction.

And for the rest - hacks are simply an unlock that a different dimension to the game.

Take 3 players who do it for each of those reasons, respectively and ask them why they do it. I'd bet they'd all say, "cause it's fun!"

Everyone is entitled to their point of view. Everyone is human. Everyone is allowed to make their own decisions in life.

Like I said - I don't agree with it, but I'm not gonna say stop cheating, or else I'll tell your mom on you!! lol

For me the kind of stuff he does, is the kind of stuff you stop doing when your not a kid any more.

I will not justify someone's wrong decisions, no matter how close we are. I expect that same accountability from my buddies.

By the way, speaking of accountability, what is up with your "Cocaine" banner, L3adCannon? You advertising, or what?

I dont think someone cheats coz they suck, its more likely coz they are bored with a game and wanna have a little fun. IMO, they should all get permabanned, but personally they dont really affect or annoy me that much. TKers are far worse.

Re: What would you ask an Aimbotter?

Hacking is just a way to p*ss others off. In today's world it matters not how good you are with an e-rifle, it matters how nice you are. A huge percentage of the pros will tell you how to do anything they do if you ask nicely.

And hackers are one group of people that always fail in the end. If they don't get owned by a skilled player, then they will probably get caught. And calling skillers an aimbot serves as a compliment. Calling an aimbotter that serves as a constant reminder of who they are.

So why do it? Ask around, do a bit of stuff, and you will do things you thought you couldn't in a million years (like tanktillery - I've had commander (I was cmdr) confirmed kills @ over 600m with tank shells).

Re: What would you ask an Aimbotter?

I find it funny how some people talk of cheaters as if they're some completely different unknown species. People who cheat at video games are just normal people. The fact is that most people don't give a **** about pubs in this or any game and that almost all hackers get their hacks for free. I don't know how retarded you have to be to think that a hack costs $300 when all you need to do is type in "[insert game name here] hacks" in google and have a free set of the most up to date hacks in the game.

Someones reason for cheating may vary. Some people feel they need an edge in the video games, others may see people cheating and feel they need to do it as well to keep up (basically why almost everyone in CSS hacks), while I'm sure a lot just do it (blatantly) to piss people off. Occasionally you will get the delusional retard who thinks they're God's gift to the game even though they hack and even try to convince themselves they don't hack, but the majority aren't like that.

I used to hate hackers, but the only ones I can't stand now are the last group of people that I listed. The others I can certainly understand reasons for cheating. I can personally attest to those who do it to piss people off in pubs as I have done pretty much everything other than hack to get the same reaction. Some clannies and I would occasionally make mock tags and names and storm a server, tking, force tking, vehicle ramming, wall glitching (so funny in Omaha 42, my god), and basically whatever we could do to piss people off. It was especially fun when we could get 15-20 people in a server and use our numbers to vote-kick everyone. It's great to get a reaction out of people, especially the pub-stars and stat masters that completely miss the point of the game. One of my buddies who I used to do this with took it a step-further and started hacking blatantly to piss people off. Knowing this person I can attest to the fact that he is not a retarded 12-year old with no life. The fact is that people get bored, people don't care about pubs, and people will find ways to have fun with the game outside of the game makers intentions. For some, the answer to this is hacking.

My bro also used to play CSS quite a bit but had to either quit or resort to hacks to keep up. I knew what he was saying when it was impossible for me to find a server without at least 1-10 hackers in it (**** I hate CSS so much). He hacked for a while, quit, and never went back. I also have a friend that griefs people in CSS, basically finds servers with no admins, runs around speed-hacking and head-shotting people until he's emptied the server out, all the while denying he hacks and asking if anyone will recruit him. I've been at his house while he has done this and I thought it was ****ing hilarious.

There are also those that try to cheat in competition, which can be frustrating at times. However it's always nice when 1 or 2 gets caught after a new PB update . I'm also comforted by the fact that even if a cheater squeaks through the cracks, which I'm sure happens all the time, they won't ever win anything other than e-glory. It's not like baseball where steroid use will reward you with a multi-million dollar contract. If there's ever any decent amount of cash or prizes to be won through gaming you can guarantee cheating will be impossible. Firstly because they're almost all done through LAN tourneys and secondly because all high cash comps mostly aren't BOYC.

TL;DR People have always cheated in video games, they're normal people who don't take the game as seriously, deal with it.

Re: What would you ask an Aimbotter?

Never had a great problem with hackers in the server because i just leave as everyone has the option to. I play the game for fun and so the hacker is and if he has less people to "own" then its not fun for him. Now im a admin on a several servers and if i think someone is hacking and got reasonable proof it is instant ban no questions asked, thats why people should say on server where admins are easily available are active fairly often, makes things alot easier.
One thing i would like to ask is "Where do you live?" and leave it like that.
