Err I dunno what you are on about Sniper Playstation Controls were rated the best out of all consoles and second was the GameCube and then The Xbox ones....

the ps3 sucks! its fail! i have one, i hate it!.. the controls ruin the whole thing! i have no problem with the 360's control's but the ps3's are shocking! the stick's are far too loose and the bumper buttons are just crap! it has no resistance when pressing like the 360 so control of what ur doing is almost impossible! I think ill get a gaming keyboard and mouse to hook up to it or something i just CANNOT get used to it's sht house controls.

Imho, the PS3 is getting a lot more titles now. And i would be more than happy to list them.

In terms of Design the PS3 pwns, very sleek and modern in a nice glossy black color, as opposing to the standard vague look of the 360.

I do NOT use the browser on the PS3 as i do already own a PC, as The En1gma stated people who own PCs or even laptops for that matter will refer to that other than the PS3.

I have not encountered any trouble with PSN other than this Error once but i switched the PS3 off for a few mins then back on and it worked.

HOME is going to be the PS3 Exclusive Online Network. Tbqh i think its awesome! a trophy room, a cinema theatre, a place to buy clothes, a house/flat that you may furnish at your own will. Sounds really cool and promising.

The PS3 would be the wiser choice to buy as a next gen console. Blu Ray - Home - Titles - Design - HD - Free stuff, i.e. cables, adapter, sixaxis.

I got my 60GB version on aug07, It came as a bundle with one free sixaxis controller making it two in total, and two free games Motor Storm and Resisstance.

Don't forget to get a Xbox 360 online it costs more than a PS3 The 360 Console maybe cheaper but then you have to pay for the internet connector the online then some more...

1.) 40GB has a lack of PS2 compatibility. While I do not own any PS2 games I could see this being a problem for some. The 80GB costs more but does have the PS2 compatibility.

Fair point, at least you guys get the option we only just the 40s out here. To be fair once you've sampled PS3 games your unlikely to go back to the older ones.

3.) Internet Browser, I really don't like it, but I have used one on the Wii and it was the same, everything was gigantic and did not fit on my screen.

Where'd 2 go? :p This depends on what people need from their PS3, if you've got a PC then it's not really a necessity for a browser but it is defiantly a nice addition to have for the option. Was useful to keep up-to-date when my PC took a dump.

4.) The price, I bought the 40GB model at Sears for $399 after taxes it came out to $427 While the price is more then a 360, it is worth it because of the Blu-Ray(its cheaper then i think all standard blu-ray movie players) and online PSN is free. Unlike the 360 which is $50 for a year.

Yeah the price is a bit of a *****, I like to look at this way over here PS3 40 is about £300 and the 360 Premium is £199. With your 360 you don't get wireless capabilities for an adapter that's £60 right there, and of course you've got the subscription as well and that's £40. So that's made up the gap, not to mention having a Blu-Ray player that currently cost in the region of £200 to buy individually so it's all swings and roundabouts really.

In the 360's defense the online services are far more reliable than PSN but I guess you get what you pay for in that respect. Also it has a really strong back catalogue of exclusives which is where the PS3 used to really struggle although this is getting clawed back recently with some good titles going PS3 exclusive.

It depends really for me having a PC a lot of 360 exclusives are on the PC anyway, and I don't see the obsession with Gears and Halo and MGS4 makes me scream like a girl so what can I say research into the exclusives each title has see once one you prefer more and analyse what you want your console for whether you intend on playing online a lot or just occasionally.

It's a personal choice and both have their ups and downs.

LOL I think a month or so ago i was reading some threads over at GameSpot and came across a thread called-***** about your 360 breaking thread- dont get me wrong I think the 360 vids and games ive seen look bad *** but I would be scared the second I layed my money on the counter

There was 3 factors which made me choose a PS3 over a 360.

1.) Blu-Ray, Might as well start the collection now, I still have 100's of VHS tapes lol.

2.) Online, PSN is 100% Free asides from certain DLC which also costs on the 360. 360 costs $50 a year to play online, I refuse to pay money to play online.

3.) 360's BREAK! I refuse to spend money on a faulty product that while yes you can send back in to be repaired, you shouldn't have to because the thing should work properly.

So hopefully Falcon we will be seeing you in the coming days. Just try not to buy it at Walmart, give the money to other stores like Sears, Kmart, or other businesses that are smaller, since the price is the same everywhere.

Ok, this is my opinion I've had this thing for a couple of weeks.

Other then that I have no real problems with it so far other then my friends saying that I should have gotten a 360, only because they have one. But then I hear them talk about the thing breaking all the time and I laugh.

If you are in the market for a reliable good quality free online play console then I suggest a PS3 if you are looking to top of the line high graphics games, if you want a fun, play with the family console then look into a Wii.

I have found no weak oint in the PS3 imo, and i am not saying this cause i am a fanboy of the PS series either. I mean when i bought the PS3 in Aug07 till now i have no probs, no weaknesses. THe only thing i hate that its a dust magnet /

Oh the price btw could be a huge weak factor other than that the hardware is awesome features are brilliant its like a PC but PC Pwns ;P i am a PC Gamer.

When it comes to the 360 I have heard/Read alot about how they melt down/fry them self,Reading the Consumer reviews on the 360 scared me away from it. Im UN-willing to spend hard earned money for a console that has/had a history of break downs.

The consoles these days are wicked(IMHO) I mean we have come a long way from Pong heh.

There are a couple reasons i would LOVE to have a console these days
One being multiplayer racing,FFS I love online racing!!!!! and games like BF:BC.
I love the fact that im a gamer I dont ever want to grow up!!!!!!!

Do you guys have Cex in America? www.cex.co.uk - My bro traded in his 360 and a bunch of games and only had to pay £30 for a PS3 60gb (used). It was a pretty good trade, much better then trading in to GAME or similar.

I am unsure of the cost of ps3s in every ones area but here they are still sporting the $400 tag every where I have looked.

I've seen used ones for 350. Also check ebay, and look for specialty stores sometimes they have deals on them.
