Re: BF:BC Demo
I checked out the EA UK site but no mention of it there either. I ordered from play.com who are giving the sniper code with the game so hopefully they will be doing the early demo code as well.Comment

I did some googlin and there is no info about the EU retailers...Originally posted by BrokenMachineI checked out the EA UK site but no mention of it there either. I ordered from play.com who are giving the sniper code with the game so hopefully they will be doing the early demo code as well.
The weird thing is that when i called to the place where i pre-ordered my game, he confirmed the sniper unlock(that they have it). But he couldn't say for sure about the demo...
And when i check EA Finland's site, the stores name is mentioned in the list of stores who get's the early demo thing...Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo
Yeah I had a look on the finnish site just to see where the list of stores was, and there's nothing like that on the UK site so I'll just keep my fingers crossed. :)
I think you should be fine tho.Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo

And i hope that i get the demo early...Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo
Alright, with you two talking about the early demo release and some of the issues regarding it, a thought just occured to me. (I live in the U.S)
I don't know how I get the early demo release, or how the EA store recognizes my Xbox Live account in order to get the demo on the 29th. I pre-ordered BF: BC from the EA store, like I said before, but I used a different email than for my Windows Live ID that I used to get Xbox Live, which is mandatory in order to get Xbox Live.
Does this mean that I don't get the early demo access, because I'm sure other people did it too and i haven't heard any details on how the people who pre-ordered it get access to the demo, but no info on using a certain email was provided so...
My guess is that on the 29th, an email will be sent to the email I used during the proccess of buying the game that will probably provide a link to where I can enter my Xbox Live Gamertag in order to get access to the demo, but that is just my imagination gone wild. :) lol - I guess we're just all going to have to wait and find out...Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo
I hadn't actually thought about ordering from the EA site. Are you getting a hard copy of the game or just a downloable version?
I haven't actually seen anywhere that says whether the EA store is getting the early demo but you would think that would be the case seems as though its the official EA store. On the official website for Bad Company it just says order from Gamestop or Amazon.com to get the early demo. Nothing about the EA store.Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo
I think you're confusing EA Link with the EA Store, EA Link is part of the EA Store but allows you to purchase and download the game directly to your PC, just like Steam. But because not all games are for PC, they have the EA Store where you purchase the item and they'll ship it to you.
A while back, EA Link replaced the store and now it's the consumers choice to buy the item and have it shipped or have it as a direct download.
They're are going to ship it to my address. There is no such thing as a downloadable version... yet. That is, as far as I know considering that it's not for PC. Later on though, it might be possible that you can buy the game off the Xbox Live Marketplace, but is unlikely considering you don't see a lot of games with that option...
Here is the link just for clarification: TA DAAAA!I haven't actually seen anywhere that says whether the EA store is getting the early demo but you would think that would be the case seems as though its the official EA store. It doesn't say anything about getting access to the demo, but it would be foolish of EA to have 2 links on their main homepage and have one with more options that doesn't give you the early demo access, and the other with just 2 options where you can get the demo on the 29th, but are only U.S. sites.
I sure hope so... I just wish they'd clarify some of the stuff up earlier like maybe one week before, which would be now.
Yeah, now would be a good time. Also, the Bad Company site still hasn't given more intel on the 'Become a Veteran' pre-release unlock code sign-up, but since the unlocks are for the actual game itself, EA probably won't release any more info on the last three unlocks until closer to the lauch date.

Yeah you're right. I didn't realise they had changed it. Shows how long its been since I've used the thing. :pI think you're confusing EA Link with the EA Store, EA Link is part of the EA Store but allows you to purchase and download the game directly to your PC, just like Steam. Yeah its getting closer and they still haven't updated the EU links. But lets hope your right about them anyway :)I sure hope so... I just wish they'd clarify some of the stuff up earlier like maybe one week before, which would be now.

But i guess that they wanna keep the game under wraps to the release...
But anyways...
Since there is only three of us posting to this section, we need to keep each other updated about the vet program, demo etc...
I just can't understand why no one else posts here... Not even the staff...
Maybe they aren't waiting this game as much as three of us is...

Re: BF:BC Demo
I guess its cos a lot of people are just console gamers and don't generally know about this place as its mainly for PC games. I'm not sure why the staff don't post on here tho.
But you're right, we should try and keep each other updated. :thumbsup:Comment

Re: BF:BC Demo

Re: BF:BC Demo
There is no info on the EU retailers for the early demo download...
But why don't you pre-order the normal version? Only thing different in the gold is the videos... What you most likely can see from Youtube later... And it costs more...
I changed my gold version pre-order to the normal because of that reason...
@Sike
It most likely opens up later... And im thinking it's similar to the BF2-BF2142 vet program...Comment
