I was waiting for the gold edition to come out on play but its been ages and with the early demo out next week I just ended up ordering the normal version in the end.

I was also under the impression that in the Gold Edition, you had access to all the Find-all-five weapons as soon as you put the disc in (assuming all the newsletter, stat-check and whatnot was done), whereas you had to level up to max on the normal to get them.

Actually, now i say that, i see your point. Might just go for the normal.

With gold edition, you get those weapons from the start....

With normal you need to participate to these marketing things to unlock them at the start(you get them anyways when you reach rank 25)...

So basically you are paying for the guns, what we(who ordered the normal edition) get for free anyways...

Hi guys, i have been checking this forum for some time now so i thought i would join you :) i have spoke to play.com on the phone and the tech that answered sounded like she did not have a clue what she was talking about but said she was not aware of any early demo from pre ordering

im waiting until Monday to see if EA update BFBC's website with any news on EU retailers.

in the mean time if anyone hears anythink pop a post in :salute:

No clue Sike, but all of us on this thread will keep on discussing Bad Company cuz it's all I'm looking forward to right now... :)

Also just keep checking the main site, as well as the Find All Five webpage, cuz when EA does decide to let us out of the cage, they'll post it there first thing.

But why don't you pre-order the normal version? Only thing different in the gold is the videos... What you most likely can see from Youtube later... And it costs more...

I just found out that there are some weapons that EA didn't openly share with the community, but thanks to some of the Beta players, they decided to take screenshots and create and publish a list of all the weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company, and which ones come with the Gold Edition. The thing is, there are a few that are not in the Find All Five pre-release programs. Also, they can be obtained by ranking up to a certain rank, but I don't think that is specified yet... :hmm:

Notice at the very top, you'll see the following:
- Item locked. Ranking up will earn you unlock credits.
- Part of Find All Five
- Comes with Gold Edition

^ - That last one is what I'm referring to... And if you scroll down and check the weapons out, you'll notice that out of every class there is one gun that does come with the Gold Edition and not part of the Find All Five. I didn't know this until now but, oh well.

I wouldn't count on it... The site has not been updated much since it has been created, but eventually they will update it and believe me, I'm checking it out every time I get the chance, so if anything occurs that brushes my attention, my first priority will be to post it here.

So basically there is few extra weapons in the gold edition at the start. But that only means it's gonna cut down your gaming time at the end...

I heard/read from somewhere that there is only 25 ranks.. And with every rank you can unlock a weapon or gadget(laser designator etc). And with the last rank you should have everything open...

I just hope that the ranks ain't á la BF2, meaning it takes forever to get them... Maybe something between BF2 and BF2142 would be great...

I thought that would be the case. Looks like we may have to wait another week before we get the demo as I doubt EA will update their website before the early demo is released.

No problem...

I personally pre-ordered the Gold version like 1-1.5 months ago... But then Deflex brought the thing up that the videos are gonna end up in the youtube anyways, and basically it just cuts down the gaming time...

So i decided to change my order to the normal version...

But if someone want's to watch "multiplayer hints"(like we don't know how to play :p) videos, already released trailers and listen to the soundtrack.. Then go ahead... It's your extra 10 bucks for that...

I have been saying that to myself ever since I have heard that EA was going to create more games to the series like Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield 3. That would be a dream come true! :yay:

lol, but the unlocks can only be used in the actual game itself, not the demo. But even so, I'm 50% sure that if EA wanted to promote all the unlockables from the Find All Five in the demo, then they would have all of them available to choose from for the multiplayer part, but I could be wrong. Very wrong. But you never know, and it doesn't hurt to guess!

And of course, you have the single player mode too, and you can pretty much use any gun you find!

So let's bumb this up, and share with everyone that the "play the demo" Find All Five accomplishment is "online"... And it seems that the get to lvl 4 to recieve the unlock isn't true...

According to the Find All Five thing, you have to play the demo for 4 hours to get it...

lol, I'm dead serious... Obviously someone along the line screwed up and heard "4th rank" instead of play for "4 hours." NEWS FLASH: In no way whatsoever does "rank" even sound like "hours." :laugh:

If I don't get the demo tomorrow in the morninig just cuz I didn't order it from Gamestop, maybe I'll actually get pissed... :cussing:

I got some 3 hours to go before the gamestore opens. And if they say that "no we aren't in that promotion" Im pretty sure that there will be "few" harsh words echoing around the neigbourhood...
