Warehouse and Columns neutral would probably help a lot for EU. If you want to make more neutral, I'd say also make Dunes Station neutral. But no more than that, or It'd be too hard to defend with only one cappable flag as your start point.

Lol I now see that you did. No intention on stealing your idea, just missed it. Sorry about that. I really do think that your idea is the best option we could have, although one more neutral flag might help.

Unfortunately, I don't expect the map to be altered in a timely fashion since it's a Ranked Map. And this is probably seen by the developers as 'something for the players to learn before forcing a change on them'.

I thought that EU started off with a walker and two FAVs of their own though? Or is that only in 64player?

I do believe, however, that your simple solution of neutralizing more flags will fix the early game imbalance you're pointing out. And it is an easy fix, come to think of it.. One that could be implemented very quickly!
I think it'd be a great balance for pub play.

PAC start with a walker and two FAVs, EU with two FAVs and two walkers. Atleast on the 64 version, I haven't played anything else.

Thanks for so many comments people.

And I said it before you. (1st reply :p)

Still after people stop joking around 1 neutral flag should be enough.

I did never think that Shingle was imbalanced. Look at FoB, that is pure imbalance.
It's probably because a lot of people on the beta servers are still going everywhere to just see what the map is like. Of course you won't have a chance if your team is on a sightseeing tour.

Well i just played four rounds on Anzio as EU and won 3/4. Even with the ticket disadvantage. So I guess it's not unbalanced, you just need a few decent players on your side.

Just about all the maps are unbalanced. You ever play Cerbere, Minsk, or any map like that in a scrim or match and you'll see. This map is just a longer run.

Even Belgrade is unbalanced. The walker at Statue spawns closer to PAC than EU>

I don't know about that. When we were in TWL we won on I think every map from each side along the way. Even on Minsk we won as EU and then capped them out as PAC. It all comes down to teamwork and coordination.

In scrims it doesn't matter if the map is unbalanced as both teams will get it. Maps such as cerb are made to see who can defend best. It doesn't really matter if one team has an advantage. Who really cares about pub server balance anyway tbh.

@ skates: lol? a better team would obviously win on both sides unless the imbalance was just stupid, so I don't see how your point makes sense.

That's my point. It doesn't have to do with the map being imbalanced. Even when pubbing, if your team has the better teamwork and/or players you can win. As I have said, I haven't played it but from reading other's comments, it seems that the map may be balanced, at least enough that you could win from either side, without making changes to flags.

Actually eu can win pretty easily all they need is a good commander.
I was sick of being raped at shingle so i went commander (fighting) all of the sudden my squads listened finally (4 squads) ive sended like 23 people to all flags and won in just 10 minutes that way :P
