But furry bird I think you can play on the same servers as everyone else, I dont think you have to create a new character either.

btw i heard that everyone that bought the mac versuion of 2142 (about 100 ppl lol)
are stuck on patch 1.25 and are forced to game with a ping of about 1500 cos the only live servers are american ...

Looks like they've updated. The Mac version should be up to 1.4 now, which means you should be able to play with everyone else:

I have a mac and in my opinion the 2142 version is terrible. Unless they changed something drastically, the resolution only goes up to 1024x768 and it lags all the time. It uses cider, a program that emulates windows on the mac and it does not work very well.

if you have one of them newer macs, there's no point in getting the mac OSX version. just get the PC version and run it with bootcamp and it should give better performance. of course you need to install windows on mac to do that.
