Had a funny Titan round yesterday. When I joined the server, both shields were just down, so I spawned in a transport that headed to PAC Titan. Minimum defense is encountered, and a noob recon detonated the APM for me to clear the path to console 1. All four consoles were down in 10 seconds, and I was the lucky one who pulled the detonating trigger that ended the Titan's life. No kills, 4 global points, 1.62 spm and 56 career points without a single kill and death!:yay:

One nade spammer - doable.

Two nade spammers - very difficult, but when there's a will, there's a way.

Anything more - get off the Titan and cap silos. Those brave/stupid ones who try to rush in anyway will get their asses bored so large that they'll become size queens.

A proper Titan defense is completely impenetrable. Do not even try. If campers get themselves setup in any of the lower corridors, you're better off seeking your victory elsewhere.

Anyway, ideal attack:

1) One person inches forward and draws sentry gun fire. He then hides in a corner.
2) Two squadmates read the nadespam pattern. If it's possible, they rush forth and attempt to kill as many as they can - no discrimination.
3) Third person comes in specifically to aim for the sentry guns.
4) This allows the targeted man in step 1 to step in as well and complete the attack.
5) If you have any more squadmates, they should be assault-medics.

Too many people go in and then stand in the middle of the entrance - they will eat a grenade in the face and die without managing to kill anyone. Push forward. Go past the first set of wall supporters - that should be a good appreciation of the distance you need to step in. At the same time, you'll also throw off the range of a potential rocket-assault's viewfinder.

press and hold right mouse button to do secondary fire for the grenade and then go in, releasing rmb to have the grenade thrown exactly when you want it. Have the guy behind you do the same thing, and the guy behind that guy and behind that guy and behind that guy, etc till one grenade lands at their feet and kills them.

If you get many points from that it should be, but unfortunetly you not get big points from that - single Problem Solver Pin and 20 points, in fact one person wil get few deaths with nothing in exchange. I guess many ppl wondering why to the hell titan blow up so fast when shield just go down or even worse shield is up and titan explode, now they by moment have chance to read why.

I saw a very... novel (read HAX) way to break past a very heavy D in hallway 1 the other night. It involved taking advantage of clipping and smoke grenades.....

Anyway, like many have said before, it is NOT a one man job. It's an at least 2 man job, and really 3 to do it right. One to suck it up and try to get the "magic nade" (same thing we call it), one to res, and one to watch everyones back. If their D is just too much, leave and get the silos. I've seen it a thousand times. The enemy team will have 10 guys on D. I'll throw my self against a wall of defenders for a spawn or 3, then give up an go ground. After a few mins of no one to kill on titan d, they all leave and go back to ground. Once I die a time or two on ground, I spawn back on the titan, and usually find just one lonely defender, or more often none at all. Once I do, the rest of my squad spawns up, and we blow thru it in seconds. Once the core doors are open, they usually come flooding back. Try for the core a few times, then go back ground. Rinse/Repeat.

I know of a funneh way to destroy consoles, but its also a glitch so I won't give it out.

I also know of a way to get rid of people who are hiding right behind the shields blocking the Hangar from the Core, without the use of RDX abusing but its also a glitch... Dang, why does all the fun stuff have to be illegal

Is it just me or is the Titan glitchier than... *insert something here, I can't think of anything*

A good team with 1 supply and one medic and a bunch of people fagging the crap out of the hallway and take it by brute force.
