Buddy, I went 36-6 last night after an absence of two months. I repeatedly kill people in 4-5 shots: if you can't wrap your head around how someone can do this, go play Checkers. I'm not even that good, so imagine what the regulars in CAL can do...

Like Jackal said, it averages out to 3-4 shots, not 1-2. Trust me, in all my time playing HC I know for a fact that it takes more than 1 shot to take someone down unless you get a headshot.

Maybe with the uzi... but how is it that I can down targets in HC with 1 deagle shot or 2 USP shots?

The deagle does 30-50 damage unless the victim has juggernaut. Since you have 30 hp in HC... well you see it yourself. The USP does 20-40 damage so you often need 2 shots in HC with that pistol.

Ive been hit with the deagle and other guns in HC and not died.

There are a lot of variables in this game that affects bullet strength as well as the mysterious hit box detections.

You guys are arguing over symantecs. The bottom line is that in HC, you can die faster and with less shots.

I played regular mode the other day, late in the game, and ended up #1 with 44 kills and 10 deaths and I didnt play for weeks straight.

Alot of people in Hardcore have bad aim so they'll probably only hit you once or twice within a couple seconds and if you have sharp reflexes you should be staring at them by the time they get a couple more shots into you.

And SC is basically the same way, seeing as you only have to put 6-7 shots into someone to kill them.

And I'm beginning to like SC. :x

When I play HC and use mp5 I can put someone down 1-2 shots almost every time.

So for me at least, it's easy to get kills, way easier than SC which is what I was trying to get at in the post.

And on the servers I have played on, no one has had bad aim.

I turn a corner, start taking fire, and before I can run to cover or try to get out of fire I am dead.

In SC, when you take fire, unless you have zero reflexes or the enemy is right in front of you, when ever you take fire you can always get to cover and sort out where you were getting shot from.

Any way, yeh ok, you go and play HC and tell be you can down 1 person with exactly 2, not 3, 2 bullets fired at each target.

Duh you can kill in 2 but chances are you will end up using at least 3-4 because they are running or jumping,

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe anyone can down an opponent in a SC server (40 players plus) with just 4 bullets. You have lag, detection issues, dealing with incoming fire, having to shoots through stuff. The magic 4 bullets figure is a myth.

Watch Quad4 tv or what ever its called, look at the vids of the COD4 clan matches, even they as '1337' as they are use more then 4 bullets per target to achieve a kill.



(Just to clarify, I mean that from the moment you see the enemy every bullet you shoot with the aim to kill them, Average is a lot higher then 4)

We're not saying how many you shoot, because of course you shoot more, but you only NEED to hit with one bullet in HC (for most weapons).

Just run around with the deagle, it's obvious!

Nobody said you would fire only four bullets to take somebody down, it was said that it takes four bullets to take some body down.

The magic 4 bullets figure is a myth.

Statistics/truth =/= myths/magic. 5 * 20 = 100 ≥ 100 (Pistol, minimum damage)

It's kinda funny how everyone from SC argues about how it takes only "one shot" to kill in HC but they hardly even play HC so how would they even know? Vice Versa with SC.

How would I know?

Hardcore lowers the player's health to 30 instead of 100. The standard AR minimum damage is 30. The Pistol minimum damage is 20, which means two shots. But, you're most likely not going to be firing a pistol nor any other weapon that has a min damage of less than 30 across the map nor out of the maximum damage range. And the lowest maximum damage of all the weapons is 30.

Not my fault you wont use stopping power in softcore servers. It takes me one click on my m16 to take someone down. If they are far away, two clicks if I sucked at aiming the first time.

I've got a few servers that I always play on and they're a mixture of HC and SC. Whichever one has the most people is the one I join. I could careless if it's HC or not, cause I'm good at both! :evil:
