Personally every time I've played HC it's been a who can spam their gun down range and hit someone in the foot first contest.

CoD gameplay is designed for softcore/normal mode. Hardcore is an extra add-on that they put in for those who want a change of pace.

TBH - HC = Too easy. SC = "Not easy enough for most"

It would be good if there was either HC servers with no X3 Nade perk, no Martydom and increased health to about 60 or 70 (instead of the 30? it's at now)

Or if SC servers had a location damage tweak to all weapons... instead of being able to shoot someone in the left foot giving the same damage as lower gut - it should be nerfed for feet, increased for head/neck etc... and if health was set to about 80...

BFE uses 'SC' but with 80 health, and tweaks to weapons like p90... It's good for both HC and SC players...

I`m starting to notice the decline of SC servers too, which I don`t like.
SC is the way to play CoD, imo. You actually need some aim and fast thinking, when in HC you can just sit in one spot and kill people with no effort/aim what so ever.

Can`t wait till they give us the option to filter out HC.

Having all these HC servers scattered around just goes to show most people prefer HC over SC.

I've never played any of the earlier CoD's as I've been trying to steer clear of arcady games. I use to play only two FPS games, Operation Flashpoint and now the sequel Armed Assault. Most people might not of heard about these due to poor advertisement, but there the best FPS games I've played.

Few members in my clan bought CoD4 so I followed and thought I'd give it a try. Within minutes I couldn't stand it until I found a HC server.

How can you sit there and say players that play HC can't aim??? That's total crap IMHO! In fact HC requires better aim, otherwise your dead. Both HC and SC require some sort of skill, but with HC your reflexes need to be sharper. Most weapons in HC act like they should do. You don't need to add a perk to make them even more powerful than they already are. 99.99% of the time you NEED to use the "stopping power" perk and it takes away the chance of using all the other perks available.

HC is by far more tactical and I doubt anyone can say its not.

Hmmm, I dont know what to say. Ive changed my post about six times now ranging from I find softcore servers all the time to hadcore doesnt suck and I am glad I play both to we do need a filter and everyone needs to quit the HC vs SC crap because how many threads do we need on it.

Normal mode is they way CoD is meant to be played and HC is good for a change... (And serm easy kills).

Hardcore is who can spray their pimped up stopping power gun into somebody finger nail and get a kill first. Regular mode is the best between the three. No BS and bullet hits to kill seem more real. And Softcore is extremely difficult cause you can't miss, because every bullet needs to hit since it takes like 3 headshots to kill.

Bottom line is HC mode is easier to kill people. It makes the playing field a lot more even. One lucky shot can kill someone. Or if someone is shooting down a wall and get one or two lucky hits, your dead.

HC is not a well balanced game. Everything that was made in SC was thought out. HC breaks all rules. No way should a MP5 kill as fast as an RPD or LMG. A hand gun should not kill with 1 or 2 shots. Also there is more shooting spam in HC. Since there is no UAV hud you can shoot at will, since you won't show up on the UAV unless your team gets one. I always knife first, nade second, shoot last, this way I never show up on the UAV. I always roll with a UAV jammer and Dead silences and 3 nades. Now on HC mode you can shoot without showing up, so there is no real need to worry about showing up on a UAV if the enemy does not have it up. That right there is lame and does not take any real thinking. You don't even need a silencer.

If you can play well in SC you can play well in HC, but if you are good in HC you might suck in SC. I for one have no problems killing someone with only one burst or shot.

Hmmm....

Well people that play hardcore mode obviously want SOME sort of realism in it...and the one shot kill...is normally what happens when you get hit with a bullet, now don't start that "Oh the foot" and stuff, but what I'm saying is that when I run around in softcore with a DEAGLE, which fires a bullet a half inch around, it takes two in the dome to kill with. And if any of you guys watch the show "Weaponology" they did an experiment with the .45 gun and it will **** you up. The 9mm I can understand but hey..a bullet is a bullet.



But I have a suggestion. Since I keep seeing these threads all over...how about everyone just accept the fact that we don't have a filter ( I want one to for only HC servers) and we all accept the fact that maybe more and more server owners are putting their servers on Hardcore. Now if you want softcore that bad, go rent a server, and make it softcore. But really guys, the bitching will just go on and on, and we all know how this ends. Everyone stops posting after a while 'till someone else makes a new thread..

nobody carries 3x nades in HC apart from that twats that like to die fast or get kicked for teamkilling too much.

ff off sucks im sorry, HC with FF on is a brilliant game mode.

also the foot thing is retarded, no one intentionally aims at feet, neither do they run with the DE as their main unless for fun, its mainly last stand so just stick a few more rounds into them and you can keep your toes.

Besides, let me shoot you in the foot with the DE and then tell me you wont die from bleeding out.

FF OFF is always retarded no matter the game (it works with TF2 though the gameplay wouldn't work with FF ON)

Lol? And why shouldn't it? Sorry but that's the most stupidest thing I've heard... Guns are guns, 99.99% of the time you get shot, you will not be able to do anything! Whether its a spray with the MP5 or RPD, the chances are you would be dead! Not running around like nothing has happened. Even with a pistol, if I shot you once in the chest, you telling me you wont bleed to death? Seriously work your facts out...

In HC most of the time its not one shot one kill, it all depends on the weapon you use and perks. As for people saying about the HUD, why do you need that? You need a magical flashing nade on your screen to let you know you can throw the nade back??? I expect you want everything done for you???

In HC yes, you do get some sprayers, but its an arcade game! You get sprayers, campers and bunnyhoppers. In both HC and SC! All the bunnyhoppers love SC because they know it will take almost a full clip to kill him! Where as HC they can try and bunnyhopper but they will most probably be shot straight away!

Why do you need the mini map?? Are you really that bad you need all the enemies marked on the map for you?? You have sound, so use it...

I find that HC servers have a lot more players that want to work as a team, where as SC servers rather do everything on their own.

I share your pain. I hardly play COD 4 any more because all the servers are hardcore.

Everyone has an opinion as to which they prefer, but for me arcade action of softcore is much more fun than nade spam, spay and pray hard core. Its a matter of opinion, but because there are more hard core servers, doesnt mean most people like hardcore, just that more server owners prefer hardcore.

The original poster is right - this game is going the same way as battlefield 2 where server owners forcing on us infantry only karkand

I want to play cod 4, not counter strike
