Re: Spawncamping or Not Spawncamping?
Spawncamping is lame and should be avoided whenever possible. Uncap camping sucks all the time, the only sort of spawncamping that i find acceptable is where you wait for people to spawn at a flag your team is in the process of capping. Generally if this takes too long i'll try for the flag itself or otherwise remove myself from the area to do something else.
I feel this way because i don't see the opposing team as an actual enemy. The more competitive crowd seems to suffer from this, which is why they don't have any problems doing whatever it takes to get another kill or prevent the enemy from doing anything at all, even spawn. I just want to have a good time, and i want the other team to have a good time too, while they lose to me.
That said, i often play on servers where basecamping is allowed or generally isnt kicked/banned for and i love killing people who try to set up camps on a spawn point, it's probably my number one happy favorite thing to do in 2142.
