well.. i have installed the whole lot in one go before without any patches and it worked fine i have the whole lot on one disc and i normally just put it in and install the game and all the boosters.. but the cd got scratched.. we took it to get it cleaned and it still wont install the boosters

You installed a patch in there somewhere if you ever installed Euro Forces. You need at least the 1.21 patch for Euro Forces. I don't know about any requirements for Armored Fury, though. But my friend bought the complete collection DVD and I heard him yelling about it not working from down the hall. He ended up having to patch more than once.

Ooohh.. well after i have downloaded the patch Skag gave me (thanks ) i will try to install them again.. but seeying though i have already played my account on SF i should still be able to get the SF weapons even without them yea? :)

You should be able to download your old account and have all the same stats and unlocks you had.

EDIT: OMG!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok so i downloaded the new patch and i was playing on the servers fine.. then all of a sudden during the game everything froze.. then i was thrown back to my desktop with an error saying somthing about not enough memory or somthing so i restarted my pc and i went to play again and every server is telling me i don't have the necessary version to play whats going on???

Do the followings:
1)Chill
)take a soda
3)erase your bf2 (from user control panel)
4)erase bf2 entries>>start>run>regedit.exe hkey local mashine programs etc
5)erase your my documents bf2 files
6)restart your pc
7)check if you have latest drivers for everything
8)install bf2 again
9)download another patch or try to patch it again
10)restart
11)configuring your settings
12)check and play

just click on patch exe and patch it again

download another patch file and repatch after erasing current 1.41 from regedit

the Patch is half a gig worth of download this sucks..

why would it do this? i havent altered any files or anything i just installed, patched and played thats all :cry: my pc is picking on me i know it!!

sometimes you just get a corrupted download..it happens.

I keep patches on a external for safe keeping..might try that.

Also you could back up your profile and reinstall everything over again just for the hell of it.

i have never had to do this crap before.. even last time i played i didn't have to do it.. this is f**king annoying!! normaly does it by itself

Also when i update it adds all these stupid links to my desktop.. theres like 5-7 of them.. i dont want my desktop filled with crap just so i can play bf2 lol

I always just put it in its own little folder, then delete it afterwards. Cuts down on clutter. And since the file is so small, it only takes a second to download it again if you have to manually update PB again. Deleting it has never caused any issues for me, as the updates go into the pb folder of the games you update.
