BF2 Problem.

Hey,

Somthing is wrong with my Bf2 disc.. i think its scratched because i always get an error saying i cant install the booster packs... however the original game installs.. but when i go to play it online there are only two servers and i can't joing them because i get this messege..



the original game hasn't been altered i just installed it then.. what can i do to fix this?

I get this error message from time to time, there's nothing wrong with your disk or your game its a known bug within BF2.

no.. i have the "complete battlefield 2 collection" and it wont install the booster packs.. and also when i go to play online i can only see 2 servers.. then when i go to join either of the two i get that messege..

i just realised now.. even without the patch wouldn't it still display the servers? only they would be red and when i went to join i would get an error messege saying i need to update my version?..

Well, the boosters require at least the 1.3 patch, if I remember correctly. So that explains one issue. As far as the server browser not showing many servers, patches may have changed the way servers report themselves to the master, so you only see the ones on the same version as you until you get past a certain point.

it happens beccause of a modded file
do this: load all maps again to bf2 folder
install server and pb again
it will be fixed
get rid of localization files
or get rid of all changes that you have done for singleplayer

well.. i have installed the whole lot in one go before without any patches and it worked fine i have the whole lot on one disc and i normally just put it in and install the game and all the boosters.. but the cd got scratched.. we took it to get it cleaned and it still wont install the boosters

If you notice in the screenshot you posted, the option to display "same version only" was ticked. So no, they wouldn't have been shown. :)

yes i just realized :cry: all the servers are red and my patch is teh old one...
