Ok I tryed to search for this but had a hard time finding an answer. I have been over seas for close to 3 years now, and I was wondering is BF2 still being played? From what I could gather from the forums it is but I would like a confirmation. Thanks :salute:

It's still going strong, despite admin abuse, piss-poor clans, and IO Karkand. Sometimes I think this game really should just die.
Just wait until you've been banned from a 16 player server that runs 64 player maps for seat-switching. You'll realize that stat-padding is worth about $60 a month for some clans, as that's what they pay to kick people who are better than them and continue to rape anyone stupid or unlucky enough to go to their servers.

EDIT: Where are you coming back from and why? I asked pretty much the same question when I got back from a year in Korea.

Its still one of the most popular online FPS games out there and imo will be for a long time to come, or at least while stats servers provide support

Oh sure, it's alive... if you like playing Wake, Dragon, Karkand or Jalalabad. Otherwise, don't waste your time because the other maps simply aren't getting played.

I don't agree to this mate...
Whenever I play, I only play on servers playing all maps - and there's always plenty of full 64-player servers sporting a full map rotation (even in SF)!

That being said, the situation might be different in America, I can't answer to that...
