Yes his new system willrun on VISTA, but the old was XP:
The old system was touching the edge of being able to play BF2 or not.
For the new system I would suggest as much RAM as possible but always more than 2 Gigs becasue of VISTA. The video card is fine for BF2 If you don't plan to play Crysis on any other settings than medium your good to go with this card

The system i have is p4 3.2 , 1 GB ddr 400mhz , 6600GT 128mb AGP, windows xp, 17" monitor
So as you can see im taking a big leap forward with my new system.
Core2duo 2.12
2GB ddr2 800mhz
8600GTS 512MB PCIe
Windows Vista
19" Monitor
The big question is what kinda performence will i get on all the battlefields?
Im guessing it can hold its own against modern games but the older games like bf2 etc, well...sumbody enlighten me.
