If I'm running around in a TDM I'll play music, but for any serious gameplay I turn it off. My ears are my friend (except for the times when I put my headset on backwards)

I have been playing css for about 3 years and it does it to you. even some may not know but you can hear footsteps in cod4 but not as easy as css. now if you play FFA or TDM on big servers then i guess it would be ok being that you will die fast and re spawn but for SSD or small server i keep my music off.
