How many people know how long it takes to build soldiers/weapons/vehicles etc from scratch? well I can tell you you dont do it in one day. It can take up to 2 months to just create a base for a vehicle and another month to polish it and create a wreck model for it.

Anyway I dont really care about a new vehicle maybe a few extra weapons that you can pick up as a pickup kit might work though.

well thats war.... many people are killed by RPGs every year. r u saying we should make RPGs illegal in the world b/c sometimes they have the element of surprise?

There might actually be a safe kit fix!

I ripped this of my clan's forum:

start 2142, enter a server, set up every kit the way you like it for both teams

make sure you spawn in as each class on each team at least once - that's 8 suicides if you're keeping count (easiest to do all this on an empty server)

then alt-tab and go to My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001

copy Profile.con and make the original read-only

now it should work forever. you have to alt-tab because if you quit the game it will overwrite all your settings with junk. the key is to save it while you're still in the server. i did this a few months ago and my settings have all been perfect ever since.

this will stop working temporarily if you switch accounts without restarting 2142. and it seems to only read the file when you first start the game, so if you change your gear it will stay changed until you quit 2142.

Btw, 2142 Sharqi would be a great map!

My hope is that they were actually working on a new booster pack all those months ago before they announced it was scrapped and that they're giving the content out for free.

Failing that, I'd love at least a couple new maps, maybe an el alamein remake. Perhaps some new unlocks and awards to earn them. Would like to see some new vehicles... Like a mech with a tank gun or something.

WohoO! Those look interesting. It got that CG feeling. Looks good for a new map. I can see it being a little bit armor and infantry.
But where can you see the new weapons?

wow. i thought they forgot all about 2142.

a new map would be nice, althought i doubt they will do anything to the existing "functioning" weapons and vehicles lest they cause a outcry in the community. ie "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY VOSS!?!???!!!111one"

WOULD BE EXCELLENT IF THIS IDEA GOT AROUND (Hey DICE guy, over here!)

I really want them to fix:
The ability for people with integrated sound cards (like myself) to use VoIP in game without it turning itself off after a minute or so into the game. Its really annoying when Im commanding or trying to work with a squad who I'm not in ventrillo with.

About the titan guns killing you when they blow up:

When a titan gun is destroyed. The screen or "Computer" thing blows up too. So maybe you should die.

True, but you'd never be able to kill that corporal down there in the rorsch trying to get 50 million points off a single titan gun by destroying it as soon as it gets repaired :)
