Well, unless I completely missed something here, but the quotes of you sending emails to EA and them responding, you would finish your emails with "Thanks- Mitch", and they'd start their reply back with "Hi, Tom"

Sorry, I see what you’re saying now my real name is Tom Mitchell and most of my friends just call me Mitch, so that's the nickname I use for gaming related stuff.

I guess EA was pulling my real first name from my account and using it in their replies.
