When BF2 was originally release Sgt Maj of the Corp was the highest rank you could obtain and it was given to the the top scoring Sgt Maj on the leader boards each month. Once the BF patches were released they made officer ranks and raised the highest rank to 4 star general, and have thus done away with Sgt. Maj. of the Corp as an actually obtainable rank (even though it is still listed in the ranking system)
