Strange Promotion!!!

Hi all,

I just got promoted Sargeant Major and have some weird things showing.
On the HQ page, progress towards next rank bar is full and next promotion is "Sargeant Major Of The Corps". I can't see any reference to this rank anywhere. Anybody know what this means??

This rank is only awarded to one player at a time. It can not be earned in game via points/awards. The next rank up is 2nd Lieutenant. That's at 60,000 points.

Thanks for that, so how come my progress bar is full??
How would you get awarded the .... "of The Corps" rank?

I'm not sure how you get it. You might have to ask someone that was actually awarded that rank. Once you get to 60,000 points though, your progress bar should go back to normal.

EA HQ's are filled with gaps and holes. Go use BF2Player or anything such.

1st of all, congrats on the promo! The Sergeant Major of the Corps is indeed awarded to one player at the time.

Only even seen one guy with the rank, and the ingame graphic for it sucks :p

I've only ever seen it once. And that was on some unranked PR v0.5 server.

It may have been one person who got awarded it when it was still in use and just hasn't been promoted since...

Considering there's so many point hackers (people give themselves 1 million points) and so many resets from EA as an attempt to stop the hackers (which doesn't even help the situation), I doubt you could get 4 stars anymore.

they still give them out, but it would be impossible to get on the top 50 list

You must have mistaken it for another rank. It doesn't get awarded to anyone anymore.
