If you bind to mouseUp and mouseDown, you don't have to scroll a lot -- just rock it up and down. That's the way to get the insane rate of fire...

Completely agree, I've never liked the scroll to shoot feature that is available. I havn't come against it that much since it is disallowed in Clanbase and I dont play public very often. But when I do come against it I usually just leave the server or concentrate on killing the guy using it :laugh:

Well, yes. If you're reloading after you've emptied a magazine, then you will have to chamber a round.

Anyway the G3 can be an automatic weapon in real life why would I want to use it as single shot all the time.

So can the M14. But, at least in CoD4, if someone went full auto with the M14 on you at insanely close range, you're screwed. Anything further than CQC, the recoil would probably flip you over, at least in the game. Heck, it's my number one gun, even without full auto. If I were effectively able to fire it in full auto, geez. That'd be nuts. I do use Bandolier with it, so ammo consumption wouldn't be too much of an issue.
