... unless we get in a jet or heli, then we're getting kicked for using one of your vehicles.

Well,
illuzion is one of the better admins I have seen.
I may have to stop by sometime and play on your server, rather than servers with too many rules to remember...Comment

Ah what a fantastic read to finish off the night.
I am in total agreement that there are waaaay too many rules out there and now me and my clan make it a game of getting banned from servers. Servers like Digital Anarchy! Where I too was banned for using one of their vehicles. lol
Terrific thread. Please don't put this in the vault, it's better than reality tv!
Actually - I got kicked from 2 servers for "flying near the uncap" ROFL!!
They should make someone a designated control tower operator so he can signal air traffic and decide who is in what airspace and enforce fines based on those rules. FAA & Transport Canada, eat your heart out!Comment

Actually BF2 servers DO NOT need rules. EA/DICE should have made them as option in server config
For example, they could have enforced all rules.
* Link flags - you can attack base only if you have a certain number (maybe all) flags
* If commander you cant enter vehicle
* If alone cant fly heli
Etc, etc
But as I said these all must have been server config options and not mandatoryComment

Thats where i stopped reading... But oh well, i guess you have to be retarded in order to be one of the "better" admins
..........Originally posted by xX5N1P3RXx1) BF2 IS a war simulation seeying though the term simulation is described as the act or process of pretending; feigning... which is EXACTLY what BF2 is..
Is CS also a war simulator...?
2) if we went by the real rules of war it would make for a completely different game all together.. i was generalising depending on individual situations..
You were basically saying that theres no rules in war. Well, there isComment

There are some rules that make sense.
"No spawnkill" and "no fighting commander" are the ones that make most sense.
BF2 is still a game and meant for ppl to have fun playing it.
War is not meant for ppl to have fun being at war!
So BF2 is far away from being a war simulation.
It is a war game, yes, but honestly where do you see a simulation part?
In respawning?
In getting revived after being hit by several bullets?
In picking up ammo that was throen away by some guy with limitless amounts of it?
In being nearly dead but still able to sprint, jump, shoot, climb until you reach a pack you just have to pick up to be at maximum health?
In entering a vehicle by just pressing a button?
In being able to sprint while carrying a M95?Comment

LOL, referring to that not very good article you posted.
Just counting the words "simulation" and "game", "GAME wins 3:1 !
And that's NOT taking into account words like "gamers"

LMAO!! seriously dude ur not going to win this argument i have used two sources to prove my statement correct.. including the dictionary.. now, for the sake of this forum and your dignity take ur hands away from the keyboard... press and hold the BIG green button on the front of ur pc in for 8 seconds.. then go outside and resume ur finger painting :p
P.S. Microsoft flight simulator has also been classified a game.. that doesnt mean its not a simulator..Comment

^^ man you're funny.
I still ask where you see the simulation part of BF2.
No answer yet.
Then you post an article where someone uses the word simulation and you take that as a proove for your argument...*shakehead*
The only thing that comes close to a simulation in BF2 is the environment. Everything else is pure arcade.
Is Mario carts a driving simulation then? Or "need for speed"
And you mentioned MS flight simulator, so that is a real simulator, as close to flying as it can be.
Woohooo, and I heard there is a new war simulator coming in summer. It's called "Battlefield Heroes"!Comment
