Even people with 8800 series cards can't run Crysis at the best of settings. And EA/DICE aren't exactly leaders in engine optimization it doesn't seem. I would think I'd get decent performance in BF2 with my system but that isn't really the case.
Also, when is this game supposed to come out? 2010? I'm guessing only about 5% or so of BF2 players are using 8800 series cards right now, and a much higher percentage are using cards closer to the low recommended end of the spectrum.
Multiplayer-only games need to run well on a large range of systems to succeed. How many people are playing Crysis MP? Not nearly as many as those playing Source-based games that run on a much wider range of hardware. Part of that is because Crysis isn't the best multiplayer game, but a bigger part is that the requirements for entry are prohibitively high.

I was just making the point that most people will have upgraded to hardware that can run the game by the time it's released... the specifics are irrelevant, really.

      :)

When BF2 was released I seem to remember most of the players having to run on low/medium. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case for BF3.

I doubt graphics will be better than Crysis`s. DICE ain`t that good. They are better off using Cryengine 2.

i dont think the gfx will be like crysis because you even cant play that game whit a NASA computer let alown that they will have this gfx whit 64 players online whit maps of 64 scale.

He was screwing with everyone. You wrapped your mouth around the hook and he reeled you in. You won't find any real, solid information on BF3.

Excuse me? I'm the only one in this thread so far as to actually not be gullible & question where he got his information from.

Anyway, I sent him a message on XFire with a link to the thread: maybe he can enlighten us.
