Even people with 8800 series cards can't run Crysis at the best of settings. And EA/DICE aren't exactly leaders in engine optimization it doesn't seem. I would think I'd get decent performance in BF2 with my system but that isn't really the case.
Also, when is this game supposed to come out? 2010? I'm guessing only about 5% or so of BF2 players are using 8800 series cards right now, and a much higher percentage are using cards closer to the low recommended end of the spectrum.
Multiplayer-only games need to run well on a large range of systems to succeed. How many people are playing Crysis MP? Not nearly as many as those playing Source-based games that run on a much wider range of hardware. Part of that is because Crysis isn't the best multiplayer game, but a bigger part is that the requirements for entry are prohibitively high.
