I dunno, but bf2 was a great game. The best in the series.
What people, like me, loved in the series was the feeling that you participate in a real war. You had that in BFV and 1942.

Then they brought us 2142, and it was kinda lame, fighting like some starwars stormtroopers.

Then I thought they would bring out a real BF3 but no, they bring out THAT:
bad graphics, unrealistic, some pseudo humor, 3rd person etc.

I mean, people, come on! Can't you see that this is not Battlefield as we know and love it?

I am very dissappointed, though I still hope that they will announce a real sequel soon.

This will just be to get more public to the Battlefield games, then they will come with a new game.

btw the thread starter is right, this aint BF, NOW... THE REAL BF is a game like BF:BC where they give you 3 weapons to start with and then they charge you on xbox live for all the other weapons wich are ALOT better then the regular ones...

Very true, look at Crysis. Gameplay on that is difficult (for me because the mouse doesnt work the suite correctly) but graphics are great. I hate it because I cant play it well without memorizing all the key layouts.

Its for fun. Dont play it and wait for BF3.

Hehe, that's exactly the point. If it was now the time doom being released, we could have the same discussion, dreaming back of commander keen, when it wasn't all about graphics etc.

The best Battlefield was and always will be 1942. It was the first game of it's kind and was a trendsetter. And personally I think it will be fun and it's free.
(Besides I'm not going to be shot repeatedly in the face by an ultra-skilled swearing 15 year old boy who plays this game for 8 hours a day :yay:)

Vanilla BF2 has to be one of the buggiest game I've played. Far from the best in the series, and far from a game I love. Battlefield Heroes looks like it will be way better than BF2 or BF2142.

that screenshot explains exactly what u said, people forget the best games in game history were all but realistic or with good graphics.

I saw this symptom already when the first BF2142 info was leaked and people started complaining about laser guns and starwars, and still refuse to play the game today just because it has a sci-fi setting, despite the fact that the game handles very much like BF2 and has improved squad mechanics.
99% of the weapons would need nothing more than a reskin to be usable in a BF2 setting.

And now we see the same with BF:H which we still know very little about, but based on the looks alone people like CaptKot has already decide that it can not possible have a battlefield like gameplay

The next generation will consider the visuals of you favourite game laughable unrealistic and cartoony, does that mean that it wasn't fun?
